imagine a couple on the verge of breaking up. one doesn't want to, but one insists. they had a verbal fight, which ended up with them having angsty, angry yet they still want to break up so the unwilling one would be reluctant to let the other go, ing and making love all night, in an attempt to woo over their partner until they're both exhausted and passed out. they would think the other wouldn't go away but woke up to an empty bed, all belongings gone.
