ahaha so hi, i have also fallen victim to the nakwon craze and i am now here to share my two ladies in hopes of get your guys' attention and approval (and interest, of course hihi) + apologies for anything potentially looking wonky, i am doing this on mobile HAKFLRDK
if you didn't already know, nakwon is a high society rp based off of the kdrama penthouse, in which there are 101 floors and the higher you are, the higher your status is. as of right now, i have two girlies who i'd like to introduce!
1. elena claveria (bini's maloi ricalde)
magdalene valentina claveria. twenty two. pop star (on hiatus). floor 59.
new money. her parents were a famous love team in the philippines during the 90's, with both not having been super affluent prior to stardom. her family's connections allowed her to grow up in the spotlight and have her talents be noticed as early as age 7, where she started becoming involved in small modelling gigs and tv show cameos. however, the true start of her rise to fame was a cover she posted when she was 13, of her parents' theme song for their movie back in their prime: a simple acoustic cover in a dark room with nothing but her guitar and pure vocals.
after this cover, countless of talent scouts and agencies reached out to the young elena, offering her contracts and projects of all sorts. at age 14, she debuted as a pop artist under the stage name mary love and rapidly rose the ranks, both nationally and internationally.
however, on her 21st birthday, just fresh off of her u.s. tour, her publicist announced that she will be taking an indefinite hiatus from the music industry. to this day, the reason why as been kept at a down low from nearly everybody but herself, her parents and her management: mary love, global superstar and beloved songstress, may be dying.
inspo and vibes: main musical inspirations for her are beabadoobee, kitchie nadal, the cranberries, the cocteau twins, bôa, potentially also olivia rodrigo as well as coco and clair clair, you guys get the gist. elena is bubbly, warm, welcoming, incredibly caring and interactive with fans, which is another reason why she's as beloved as she is. she regards all those around her like family. totally the type to give a fan cab money so they can get home safe. her biggest downfall, though, is her tendency to be closed off when it comes to her emotions and keeps such things a secret. oh, and she has a grey cat named gabo!
connections: as of right now, i'm looking for friends, fans, exes, her specialist/physician, an ex pr stunt pair perhaps, someone in the industry that she has worked with.
2. won yeonah (actress jung somin)
a.k.a. gisella won (완연아). thirty two. philanthropist and heiress to the won cosmetics conglomerate. floor 96.
old money. succinct, poised, well spoken, and strong-willed, yeonah is grace personified with everything she does. the vast majority of her life was spent preparing to work for her family's company, save for her brief stint of being a pageant queen during her late teens and winning the title of miss korea's 1st runner up in 2011. during her late 20's, she "adopts" a young girl and gave her the name won yanmi. yeonah is naturally intelligent, a born leader, and with a charisma that could charm even the coldest of clients. her entire life had been devoted to becoming the perfect daughter for her family, in hopes that it would be enough to win their affection. beauty, talent, intellect, and charm, nobody could deny that she indeed is the face of the won family.
the won clan: to say that the won family is well known in the country would be a grave understatement. tracing their roots back to 1910's south korea, they have been the powerhouse of one of (if not) the country's biggest cosmetics company, "monkey beauty (원숭미)" for over a century, with the tagline "even monkies can be beautiful". nearly every beauty product in the national market would have their brand logo and name brandished on the packaging — for the wons, competition was nearly nonexistent.
it is currently led by won "donny" donsu, the eldest grandson of the late won yonghu, founder of wonsungmi. alongside donny is his wife patricia park, the famed 80's supermodel and the first asian woman to grace the international runway. they believe in growth through expansion and connections and strength through strategic marriages, rather than in tearing down competition. because of this, it is expected of the wons to have more than one children, as well as for the won daughters to pass on the family name to children when married.
connections: right now, she needs friends, business rivals and allies, exes, a potential betrothed maybe (taken!), as well as the only health worker in the penthouse who knows that her "adopted" daughter is actually her own, from a concealed marriage that has long since been broken apart.
