asking for a friend, is it insane to poke someone after a month if you've seen them interacting elsewhere lol

poke etiquette always escapes me tbh I'll either wait three months or poke after a week depending on the partner

And I wish more people would poke me bc I thought I was caught up and then... bam I just looked at my tracker 🥲

I think it might depend on the person, but if they have any poking rules, I’d follow those. Otherwise what’s the harm in poking? Just the way to do it is again better to treat them like a human:

If I care, I usually poke after a week. If they get back to me, then I'll wait. Depends on how much muse I have for the plot. If idc about the plot anymore, I won't bother poking at all. If it's with a partner I've been with for awhile, I'll trust they didn't forget me (you fit here).

usually i'll ask the person ooc how often they would like to be poked and do it like that. that serves a poke and for future assurance of when it's okay to poke without feeling annoying

I usually communicate with my partners ooc so they generally know to poke if we're chatting normally and I haven't said something about it for like a week. And then I've got one priv (not you) I'm at 8 months for so like. Can't help
