I think a lot kinda gave up on making new rp's/events tbh
^ Partially due to the fact most rps now get overshadowed by whichever few are popping. It was only weeks ago when I attempted a spooky themed rp. It died within a few days. It was a semiAU. Once there's herd mentality, there stays herd mentality.
