esther yu, once known as xiao lanhua or little orchid from lbfad, has a drama that's airing this month! it's called “love game in eastern fantasy” — a romcom with transmigration and relationship favorability trope in it! totally addicted with this right now so i have to promote it if you're looking for something that has fantasy in it, but without that much heavy of a plot! also, the cgi on this? IMMACULATE. if you fell in love with the cgi in lbfad, this would be an eye candy for you! the styling? :chef's kiss: just look at the hairdress that esther has on the drama!
it's adapted from a manhua called “guide to capturing a black lotus”! also an on-going work!
basically, it goes like this:
ling miaomiao (esther yu) is an ordinary office worker who is a huge fan of this author. when he released a new work, she's quick to read the audio book. in the novel stars a group of demon catchers— and an antagonist that wanted the male lead. people hated this antagonist, and even the brother of the female lead hated this woman so much that he married her just to punish her into coveting something that she does not deserve. cheated by the tragic ending for all the characters, even though the novel was promoted as a romance between the ml and fl, fans of the work did not like this and that includes miaomiao.
doing a rant online to bash the work of her favorite author, ling miaomiao is shocked when she finds herself in the body of the antagonist— lin yu.
her mission? make the brother of the female lead— mu sheng— a siscon yandere, fall in love with her. once she succeeds and the greatest evil of the novel is defeated will she be able to come home to her real world.
anyway, that's what we have so far! :] it's really funny and they got the whole comedy down! you can watch the show for ten minutes and decide whether it's up to your taste. maybe i'll share the first episode on the comments since it's up on youtube right now. :twiddle:
