"abeoji, can i stay in haepung?"
his father looked up when his only son asked such a question. "minwoo-ya, you're the chief executive officer of our company. if you stay there, what will happen to the business?" his father asked in return, trying to figure out what could have influenced his son's sudden decision. "do you have a girlfriend there? why not ask her to move here to seoul?"
minwoo sighed. "i don’t have a girlfriend, abeoji. i can still come back to the office whenever i’m needed. besides, woohyun can handle things here. i need to rest my mind. please, abeoji, let me go. if i stay here, i think i’ll go crazy. you know how hard it’s been with those stalkers. some even hurt me before. and you’ll save money if i’m not around—things aren’t as expensive in haepung anyway."
mr. ryu shook his head. "you’re unbelievable. always know how to talk back to your parents. fine. go persuade your mother, and i’ll handle things here with woohyun. clear your mind and come back safely. have you decided which hotel you’ll stay in?"
minwoo smiled. "what hotel? i’ll rent a house for myself."
mr. ryu looked at him in disbelief. "are you sure? like a studio room?"
minwoo shook his head. "no, a simple house. i’ll be living alone anyway, so you don’t have to worry, abeoji."
mr. ryu sighed again. "you’d better figure out how to convince your mother then."
---
after a few days of persuading his mother, minwoo finally arrived in haepung. he smiled as he stepped into the town, pulling his suitcase from the airport. he hailed a taxi and asked the driver to take him to the rental house he had arranged. when he arrived, he walked inside and smiled, feeling a sense of relief.
just then, his phone rang—it was his mother. she always worried about minwoo’s safety, especially when they were apart. after comforting her and assuring her that he had arrived safely, minwoo hung up the call and chuckled.
later, he decided to take a stroll on the beach. haepung was a safe haven for him, though he couldn’t quite explain why. it felt like a second home. what more could he ask for? everything that had happened in seoul made him feel the need to escape. but he wasn’t running away—he was taking the time to find peace of mind and prepare himself to face the challenges ahead.

mun's notes :
hello, this is neo speaking. i wrote the small solo prompt for my character, ryu minwoo in haepung as his first development and his sole reasons why he wanted to move to haepung. this is occured two years ago — he's still a ceo but in haepung, he was working freelance where he oftens meet his clients and settle some deals for his family's business. he earned his money through the business and also from the help of his parents as well. he was still looking for more friends and colleagues or maybe familial or siblings to come over to haepung and have fun here. if you also interested in taking up my minwoo's assistant spot, please hit me up so we can discuss their dynamics together. they will be close since they are growing up together.
+ also i wrote that around 2 am so it's a bit rusty. :peace:
