so i'm working on that animanga university au because it got into my system and can't escape. so i'm laying out Concepts of A Plan.

setting is an established university called "mundus cruxi university/mcu" (i did not intend this pun for marvel fans whoops). characters can choose from a set list of majors and a club/clique to be a part of. characters can also choose to be staff/faculty as well!

things like school spirit events, bi-weekly/monthly newsletters, exams, school dances, and such are things i want to include in the roleplay. i would like to run this for at least One semester, which would be on like a 4-6 week rotation or something.

i would love to utilize the points system rpr has as like. a tuition system? possibly? characters could do things like campus jobs or systems to get financial aid so that students can stay enrolled. what happens when they lose their aid? uhhhh, i'll figure that out with a drop out system but still! ! ! ! ! ! it's a work in progress.

i was possibly thinking about drop-outs doing other jobs to maintain things like an apartment, but we will see :thinking:

this is my first time running an rp to this scale, and i haven't joined a real person au rp in... a few years, so if there's anyone interested or you have ideas and could help me co-admin/just give me ideas to brainrot with, i'm All Ears.

This sounds like a really fun and interesting idea for a roleplay uni however I’m gonna play the part of the buzzkill(altho I’m going to try not sound too pessimistic, I’m sorry if it comes across that way!)

▸ Everything you listed is incredibly involved on the admin end. If you end up being the only admin, are you going to have enough time to be able to do all of this? Will your co-admin(s) if you manage to find them? A lot of these will be weekly, maybe even daily tasks and need a lot of checking in and/or following up with role players- are you going to be able to do that consistently? That’s a lot of time put into maintenance, even with a co-admin
▸ What about roleplaying? Will you be participating in the rp as well on top of all the admin duties?
▸ users here don’t generally like constant events, mass tags and announcements(I’m making a very blanket statement here, everyone is different) so there’s a chance the constant activity could be intimidating and make people feel like they’re required to attend these events
▸ the points system- interesting idea, I have some thoughts on how you could do that that but again, tricky to manage by yourself

I guess my main take away is not wanting to see you try your best only for the rp to not succeed because you burn yourself out- which i feel like you are at risk of doing given how much work has to go into this post-creation- and become discouraged from trying again in the future.

I would love to see something like this(because I have a few uni/uni-adaptable muses I’d like to use) and if I could offer a hand, I would, but I’m under the pump up until Christmas. My inbox, however, is always open if you want to idea dump to someone- I’ll be a bit slow but I’ll happily bounce ideas around with you :)
