what are some features you'd like to see/update here on rpr?

Heavy on the mods needing to be active users and present for other issues! I was having my own issues with another user who repeatedly tried doxxing people and kept spreadsheets of user's ooc information when they would have people applying for their rp's. The email that is provided for inquires and other issues that are described should be monitored by active mods here.

make a way to get back to the mobile version of rpr? i use my phone for rpr but i clicked on something and the layout fits my screen like a computer, now and i have to zoom in endlessly if i want to reply to messages or be in the chat. and there's no button in sight that says mobile version and the layout doesn't automatically adapt to a mobile device.

real time chat function, no idea how it’d work but the whole refreshing and waiting for a notif can make plotting so stagnant/difficult.

But also what xsoulx mentioned. I'm tired of private rp's being featured and EVERYWHERE. Please, draft your rp's.

Closed rp's are different, usually more people so they can't have everyone as an admin but I'm typically okay with those being featured because sometimes someone leaves and another roleplayer can take their place.

Two person private rp's have no reason to be published and they just end up spamming the "roleplays" section since everyone seems to prefer private rp's nowadays.

I'd like the block feat to actually block.
I don't wanna seem them anywhere, at all buy I understand that might be an issue when two people are in an rp. (At least they finally fixed the issue where you couldn't enter a room if someone had you blocked.)

A reply all button for when you tag multiple people
Collapsible threads, like discord
Ability to self manage notifications for different rooms
ability to type emojis normally and have them save outside of live chat
italics, strikeout, etc
Not needing to reaccept a character for a tag change
I feel like I should not list more bugs but yeah,,, fixing bugs like permanent notifications for deleted things

And for mods to be ACTIVE bc users shouldn’t be taking justice in their own hands if the mods were actually around to moderate ;;;;;;;;;;

1) edit, delete individual posts in pm / gpm.
2) i WISH there was an option or button to delete / remove roleplays from your favorites. If the rp is deleted or the admin deactivated, it’s impossible to remove the rp from your favorites. It’s there forever. (Same with tagged users, if they delete or deactivate their account, the tag is there forever)
3) A better way to filter tags. Like yeah I want to look for “” but i would like to exclude the tag “nonau” and “privaterp”. Or I’d like to search for an rp with the most comments, but I’d like to be able narrow it down to rps from 2023 and 2024. i don’t care the rp with most comments has million comments if it’s been inactive since 2015 :/
4) idk how this would work but as a player even if you get the notifications turned off, if you click on on the rp from “your latest active roleplays” sometimes it takes you to private (hidden) rooms, or the spam room where someone is rightfully spamming, or the fast chat. I wish it could take you to the “chat” or a default room. And ALSO what’s the point of having private/hidden rooms if some rando can still access to them via “new roleplay post notification” @@ the amount of times I’ve unwilling been dragged to people getting spicy in their private rooms. I shouldn’t be able to access them.
5) also can private/friends only rps stop being featured! Bsjdnddj I fear for the day my private rps show up as “Featured Rated M” when everything about it is private and only visible to admins. Not that I have anything to hide but i don’t need the entirety of rpr seeing I have a private rp with X and Y

Honestly i can live without dark mode BUT it would be nice to have it added just as an option

I am going to parrot what grump and you are already sharing. Dark mode, and having the ability to edit texts to make it italic or bold like on Tumblr, or even like discord. I'd also like when we are answering tags that a pop up that is a much bigger box would pop up. Going to attach a screen shot to this post. This is what tumblr does. Gives this huge space. These tiny boxes we chat in stress me out so much. As a 3rd POV para and novella length writer, these tiny chat boxes are NOT writer friendly. Let's have something like this that is more accommodating to the plot heavy, writer base of the format. I know you can stretch it on PC, but I've found 0 way to do it on mobile (or at least on an iphone) and it is A NIGHTMARE.

you're always asking the right question because i got so many things to say — dark mode, for sure. the ability to edit posts, markdowns so we can italicize, bolds, etcetera in posts, better room organizations for sure— the ability to mute certain rooms. in terms of admins, the hiatus button would be so helpful. maybe a chatbox feature? helps separate ic and ooc altogether.

Personally I’d like to be able to edit chara posts or delete posts in group pm’s or edit them or to rename group pm’s. Maybe the option to silence room posts left to the actual owner of the chara instead of having to ask an admin.
