"KPOP idols are not the people we see them as. They are acted characters. These people are performers. They get paid to perform fanservice, to hug on variety shows, to play the leader/maknae, and to be the "quirky" one or the "serious" one. Every interaction between your OTP is meticulously planned in PR and marketing meetings.

I love KPOP and I have a lot of biases but I think a lot of people need to realise that their idols are essentially characters and that those glimpses into their "private lives" like "oh no you filmed me in my hotel room how embarrassing, let's put it on the internet anyway" are 100% planned because that's what gets them exposure and money."

Which is why I have my doubts on whether or not all 3 seasons of 2NE1 TV are real.
