'm pretty much apathetic to 2NE1 at this point, and that is the one thing YG should be scared about, not fan anger. When even hardcore fans are so jaded by the company's antics that they simply don't care anymore, you know things are getting ty. In a lot of ways, constantly lying to fans and generally ing them over is one of the worst ways to build trust in the fanbase, EA and some of its scummy business policies being a prime example of that.
Not only that, but age and motives as well. Dara and Bom are both pretty much in their thirties, pretty much senior citizen in this industry, and the time that artists want to slow down, limit the work load, and start families. CL also seems fishy to me, considering how she is spending more time with Western fashion designers then her own ing group, the one she supposedly cherishes. As such, I believe if anyone leaves the group, it'll be CL for her own desires.
But almost everything goes back to the doorstep of YG, and the complacency of Yang Hyun Suk with not only 2NE1, but also all his other female artists. Think about it, Lee Hi, not a peep, Gummy gets dropped when the money runs dry with her, and 2NE1 is pretty much driven round the bend. Yet G-Dragon pretty much is being off by the company for whatever he wants in the name of "becoming more of an artist then an idol" which is complete BS to anyone that isn't a delusional fan, and Big Bang can pretty much ask for a comeback and get one.
And then there's will.i.am. To be honest, I think a lot of the problems with 2NE1 can be traced back to the infamous work with him. After a song where two members had minimal speaking lines, the other two relegated to just saying "yeah" and cashing in a check.
2NE1 is obviously at death's door, and I don't think at the current state of affairs they'll be saved.
