Its Snowing...

I woke up this morning to my step-dad bursting in my room (its was about 6:20AM, don't know why I still wasn't awake since I usually wake up earlier) saying that it had snowed. When I looked outside it was really only a rather thin layer so I probably had school. ( I was kinda sad since I had been expecting all week and two weeks ago for it to freeze over or for it to snow considering the temperatures stayed below freezing, but it was pretty dry so no snow or ice until today, and I live on rather low ground so it takes a lot for snow to really pile or stick. ) But the temperatures were freezing. The highest expected temperature for the day is below freezing as well. In most places around the state though most schools are closed or delayed and some are having quite a downfall of snow.

However, it wasn't long after, maybe around 7:15AM-ish, that my step-dad recieved an alarming phone call from his brother, my step-uncle. Naturally a hard working person looks outside and thinks... well I can probably make it to work. And thats exactly what my step-uncle thought. Even though all the schools in his district were closed, unlike my district, he decided to head out in his truck. My step-dad was freaking out over the phone having trouble understanding his younger brother over the phone. My step-dad is the oldest of his many brothers, and naturally my step-uncle called him first before even thinking of calling others. From what my step-dad could understand, his car had flipped over in the ice.

Luckily, my uncle had managed to get out safely. But thanks to pictures taken, its obvious that he could have been severely injured considering the ending flip ended up being on the drivers side down. He probably recieved some bruising but other than he was pretty much okay, at least to my knowledge. Its still early, so I'm not sure of everything.

My other step-uncle came to pick him up. And he also took the picture below. As you can see the drivers side is down (cuz we drive on that side here).

thank goodness everything turned out okay.

Thankfully all the schools and college are closed in my area. I wouldn't have braved it ~ thick snow and there is a terrible wind. Brrrr~

I'm glad everything's okay. Did you still have to go to school?
