I've reached the end of my rope. The entire Hallyu wave, from the artists, to the fans, to the companies, are all ing liars, frauds, hypocrites, whatever adjectives come to mind.
From the companies who willingly over the young boys and girls, corrupt them, and don't even give them the common courtesy of a reach around, to the fans. The dumb , reality denying, stalking, abusive fans.
Being a Blackjack since 2012 has made me realize how much of a fraud both YG, and his joke of a "family" actually is. All he ever has done is willingly off Big Bang for whatever they please, and will surely pamper WINNER as well, yet on the flipside dumps Gummy like trash, keep Lee Hi in the dungeon, and consistently, CONSTANTLY, over 2NE1 in an endless cycle of lies, deceit, and scummy business practices. Yet these retards keep coming back, gladly letting themselves get ed up the arse, and letting YG get away with lying like a politician on Congressional hearings. How many times does 2NE1 have to have a Korean album pushed back for you to begin criticizing? How many times can YG get away with publicly lambasting and insulting his artists under the guise of tough love? Isn't it obvious he only cares about money, and will probably disband 2NE1 if the latest comeback flops? Jesus Christ, even the group itself is fed up with his ways, and wondering themselves what the future holds. But it doesn't matter, because most of the fans are merely proxies for his investors. And they're the perfect kind too, unwavering in their support and would a if it meant a meaningless win on an irrelevant music show controlled by vote rigging.
One of the reasons I was attracted to the kpop fandom at the start was its similarity to the soccer culture, how fandoms were close knit and so creative. But these almost three years now has brought me untold frustration, anger, and wondering: "Why am I still a fan? I'm a Canucks and Blue Jays fan, and those two teams don't cause as much greif as being a Blackjack has, even with dealing with too many fairweather fans for the former and having to experience crushing reality compared to early excitement for the latter.
The day 2NE1 disbands, which may even be this summer if all goes right, and that's not a good thing, is the day I fully leave kpop, for better or for worse, I still don't know.
