Stress, Not Good With Me

So I'm auditioning for my school's musical...

Thing is, there aren't too many freshman. Not to mention, no one I know/like is here so I have no reassurance. I tried singing the alto tryout song to this girl I know, but OMF she is a . Every time I hit the starting note, "That's too high!" Even if I dropped it drastically, still not good enough.

I practiced the song perfectly on pitch last night so she has no right to tell me I was wrong.
