The circus arrives without warning.
They call it the Night Circus. The Circus of Dreams, as it was originally known, was a place that overflowed with magic. Tentages rigged with the colours of black and white rose up from the ground, encircled by stone paths that went round and round, never seeming to end as they wound about the tents and joined with other paths that led to unknown places. It was as though the Circus existed in another dimension entirely, a world where people lived and breathe magic. In a way, they weren't wrong.
Nobody knows how it was done but the Circus appeared in a blaze of light, not there one second and there the other. They had been around for a long time until they disappeared without warning one moment. Poof, into thin air. At first, the people thought it was just another disappearance on the list and they waited for the Circus to reappear. And waited, and waited... Patience waned with the moon and soon, 30 years passed. The legend of the Night Circus faded, as legends tend to do. The magical circus acts became stories which the old told to the young, spinning tales infused with the magic of dreams. Even those who visited the Circus in the past would have doubted their own memories, if not for newspaper articles and photographs. The world moved on, and the Circus became a thing of the past.
Until now.
A new Cirque Du Revês rose from the dust, outshining the old in every single way. It was grander, larger and altogether more spectacular. It was time for the new generation to take the reins, to take over the world one city at a time. They were going to start from the place where the whole thing began.

The city of dreams. However, before they could start the circus, they had work to do, messages to send, people to recruit. Jobs in the Circus as performers were the most coveted spots, as well as the hardest ones to attain. Performers had to be the best, the most special but above all else, they had to be magical. Only then could the Circus reclaim their former glory and gain the following they used to have. Are you good enough to join the ranks of the performers, or will you be a spectator, a Dreamer, looking on from the outside?
