Back Then was the one song I desperately wanted to hearing Zhang Liyin sing since I love the last minute of it where she let it go vocally. As I said before, I know that she changed her singing style and I noticed a little that she lost a little power behind her voice so I was a little disappointed to hear how much power. As the Chinese commenting and one of the judges said she's doing a more 'Korean' style than Chinese.
It's a gorgeous song regardless, but I remember she can sing like this
And it's like 'I'd rather her old style.' If she can meld the two techniques, I'd be so much more in love with her. I love power vocalists who have control over their voices like Sohyang where they're not on loudness 100%
I think because of my dislike of airy singers (I've said that about J.ae) and only like to listen to Baek Ji Young studio versions only because live she sounds like she's going to crack at any moment.
