I'm creating a new roleplay and I would like you guys to give me feedback on the idea of it. A select few of you actually talk to me, so I won't be expecting many responses (actually, I only really think I'll get one response, at most), but I will say that those of you interested in helping me, please comment below instead of keeping the comment to yourself. I can handle constructive critisism and I'm honestly searching for it. Also, following this short paragraph will be the technical and less appealing description of the roleplay in discussion, and if you are not fully unerstanding what I'm going for or what I am saying, then do mention that below along with any curious questions you may have, if any.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION: Set in a time relative to our current day, this roleplay of mine takes place in another universe less similar than your typical alternate universe roleplays. In this univerese, we all operate under one shared form of government more like a totalitarian or authoritarian form of government (where the government controls virtually every aspect of your life and what you do and grants no real individual freedom): to make things easier, they've reduced us to one commonly used language and currency; they've designed a system in which everyone (besides a select few) lives and prospers equally—guaranteeing us cookie-cutter houses and cars, same salaries and education, general health care, free or relatively free items from stores, and the like. Everyone "above" this law thought all was swell for quite some time, but it began to feel a bit boring to live with. After months of processing and planning, these higher ups brought to their own attention that they'd like to start the world anew and rid it of all or most liabilities, meaning the majoirity of the world's population.
From and to each nation, a letter is sent, telling citizens of the government's new plans to murder nearly ever person on the globe. Unbeknowst to most, however, there are already small groups of people within countries spread about working to save the population and overthrow this governmental system. It is during the public annoncement that the rebels covertly inform their towns of where to go and what to do to escape this issue, and that is where the roleplay officially begins.
This is me trying to be professional and clear about the background and the story of the roleplay. I know that I probably did a bad job at making it easy to understand with all of or the lack of details presented, but again, I am still working on it. With the help of your guys' feedback, I thought that might it be easier to make things simple if I asked my friends about this little idea of mine before I put it out before the public. What do you guys think?
