I am currently trying to get settled in my new apartment. We moved all furniture in here last Friday and I moved here Tuesday. Anyway, as a real grown up I have had to buy a lot of stuff that I never expected to buy. Curtains are one of those things.
It took me and a friend 1 1/2 hours in Ikea's curtain department to pick out a pair of curtains for my window-doors and a roledown-curtain-thingie for my window. The curtains are too long and they are kiiiind of see through, but not from the outside, so that doesn't matter. The roledown curtain took forever to find because apparently the size of my window is not normal. At last we found one and bought it. When hanging it up I realised that I was actually about 3 milimetres too short on both sides when pulled down and, more importantly, it is see-through. It's a ing BLACKOUT CURTAIN and it is SEE THROUGH!! Where the freak is the logic in that???? Anyway, I thought it wasn't that bad, I could live with that. However, tonight I saw how it looked from the outside while there is light in my apartment and it is still ing see through. I am so livid. And of course you can't flick it back in the faces of Ikea because I don't have the packaging anymore. Who the hell sells see through blakout curtains?!?! IKEA, THAT'S WHO!!!!!!
I am so angry and I can't seem to find ANYTHING that has the right ing size to hang in my window and it frustrates me to now end.
I hate being an adult. I hate curtains. I hate not having an oven.
