Rant 1

I came to my moms for a couple days to help out around the house and barn.
So, it makes sense that I did a lot of work yesterday. I mean, we did A LOT.
And today, it's my birthday, so it would make sense if I got a tiiiiiny break. I mean, it doesn't even have to be anything much, but no, instead I get her yelling at me to get up at nine in the morning and handing me a list of stuff to do. Her and her lists.

And it's like NOTHING ever gets done when I'm not around, and I hardly come around. Last time I was here, the shower floor was ing STICKY, because I wasn't around to clean it. And when I come, it's like they don't clean any dishes for days just so I can do it. There's food-crusted dishes stacked, three dishwashing loads worth, and most still has to be hand washed because it's been sitting too long.
And when I talk to my mom about my little brother not doing anything, she says it's because he has school and band, then part of the year he has track. Ok, I get that. But he can still do stuff, even tiny stuff. I see him sitting around reading for hours on end after he comes back. And that is NOT a valid excuse. When I was a junior in high school, during the fall, I was the only one doing ANYTHING with 5 horses, I worked five days a week, had tennis six days a week, had high school, had all of the barn chores, and half of the house chores on top of that. Him having school, sometimes track, and then band isn't any valid excuse.
