a plot where muse a is your typical self destructive boy who smokes four packs of cigarettes a week and drinks whenever he’s given the chance. his home life is like the ones you see in an indie drama, his mother is careless and his father is an egotistical drunk with anger issues. muse a wakes up every morning at three am to go the liquor store and buy his quick fixes. one particular morning he sees a new face behind the counter, muse b, a girl with bright eyes and a kind heart, she’s the complete opposite of him and can’t help the urge to find out more things about him. one night she asks him why he buys so much alcohol and lectures him about the dangers of smoking, next thing you know the two are exchanging life stories and become friends. it doesn’t take long for them to realize that they have feelings for each other, but every time muse b wants to get close to him, muse a pushes her away.

The prince and princess could continue to just hate each other and maybe have occasional drunk, angsty, angry , or they could actually fall in love and just be two complete balls of fluff. a plot where muse a used to be a goody two shoes and got excited over the slightest things, and was a little too much of a dreamer, until she hit high school and met muse b. muse b, being the class clown, typical sk8er ( yes that just happened ) boy with his not completely but total douche bag friends. they like bumped into each other in the hallways ( or something else ) and she completely fell in love and needed to have him. so she slowly started getting his attention and then they started going out. muse b not thinking much about muse a at first and then soon catching on, and saying to himself, “hey, why not?” and she was the happiest ever. she didn’t even care that he didn’t give her the attention she should have gotten. she didn’t care when he skipped out her 17th birthday for a camping trip with his friends, she didn’t care when he constantly forgot about dates or important school events she wanted him to go to. muse a was just happy she’s got his arm around her and she can call him hers. then of course, muse b found himself enjoying it a lot more than he intended. yeah sure, he only asked her out because he did find her more appealing than the other girls and liked her company but he never wanted anything super serious, and that’s exactly what their relationship was turning into. he pushed it off, not wanting to believe it, but sooner or later he couldn’t ignore it anymore, and that moment came the night they went all the way. the morning after, muse b made some weird excuse about having to leave really quickly or something, and left. the next week or two whenever she saw him, he would act incredibly weird. always stammering his words and trying his best to avoid her, etc. then one night muse b came to the conclusion that he was in love muse a, and it scared him to death. the next day at school, the first thing he did was break up with her, with no explanation whatsoever, and you guessed it, muse a went straight home and cried her eyes out. after being heartbroken and totally not being herself for what seemed like too long, she finally decided to stop what she was doing and live her life. muse a started sleeping around, partying, staying out late, not doing what she was supposed to do, and not really caring about anything. she slowly drifted from her best friend, really the only one she had for a while, and made friends with people she really didn’t care about. and muse b had to watch from the sidelines seeing the only person he ever loved turn into the thing he was trying to save her from.

a plot where muse a is this anxious, quiet new kid at this huge boarding school who suffers from something like ocd or basically any other anxiety disorder, and muse b is this spontaneous firecracker already going there who’s pretty much the polar opposite of muse a and the exact type of person who should scare the out of them, but instead muse a feels drawn to their electricity. and almost immediately, they become the type of friends who tease each other continuously. muse a will go on and on about how annoying and loud muse b is and muse b will ruffle muse a’s hair and hug them always because they know how much muse a loves it, even if they insist they hate physical contact because muse b has become an easy exception to that rule. and whenever muse a has bad days muse b will miss all their classes to sit with muse a and help them relax and feel better, and eventually, it becomes a thing that they do even when muse a isn’t having bad days. they sit and cuddle and watch movies and muse a will stare at muse b for minutes on end until muse b says, “What?” and muse a will always say, “Nothing,” and turn away. it isn’t until months into their friendship that muse b says, “What?” and muse a says, “I love you.”

i kind of want a plot set in like the middle ages or renaissance or something where these young royals are in an arranged marriage, but they actually really love and care for each other. but then sometime before the wedding something happens and the marriage is called off because one of them is now arranged to marry someone else. but these two still really want to marry each other and they’re willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen (whether it be murdering a few people or whatever.)
or alternatively, the one who’s been put in the other marriage actually becomes quite fond of the new person they’re supposed to marry, and they understand why it has to be done. so then they’re caught between marrying the person that’ll benefit them and their family more, or marrying the person they’ve loved since they were children but is no longer fit to be part of their family.

A is super sweet and bubbly but very nervous bc of the threat and B is very stern and by the book. he is his normal all-business self at first and it kinda freaks A out and he notices so he dials it back and they talk more and more and eventually A breaks B down without even knowing B's doing it and if B is having trouble sleeping he suggests that they cuddle and he always has a hand on A in public (and that can be easily covered up bc it’s B's job to protect A).

and maybe even gives her a little coloring book or something to cheer her up. The little girls with her dad and he comes over and thanks her for being nice
about it.
They start to become regulars at the place she works, and the dad starts developing a thing for her. There’s a bit of an age difference, but not a lot, so he asks
her out.
They hit it off, start dating, exchanging back stories and details about their lives. She finds out his wife died a few years ago, and he’s been raising the girl by
himself. And that’s when she realizes that she’s in love with the man who adopted her baby.
