When I got nothing to do which describes my whole life, I tend to be looking through the blog posts made by other people. There has been a trend going on for a while which some might have noticed, but some might have missed completely.
"There is no good au roleplay", "People don't do au roleplays anymore", "There is not good roleplays at all" etc
It made me sad to read so I came up with some random solutions out of the blue.
Solutions:
1. Create one yourself and do not assume that people will do it for you.
2. Search by typing "auroleplay" or something similar in the search section.
3. Turn off the computer and go out, visit a friend or get a new hobby.
I have also noticed that a lot of people feel sorry for themselves whenever they get "ignored" in some roleplays. For those who genuinely tries to make contact with other people and still fails, I do actually feel sorry for you. However, there's a lot of people joining roleplays without writing a single post and leaves within 48 hours because "nobody is talking with them."
My solutions:
1. Try to make the first move yourself, not by writing "roleplay anyone?" in the ooc room, but make some effort to actually approach people. If everyone is going to hide in the corner, nobody will have a fun time.
2. If someone stops replying, ask nicely if they want to continue. Don't be a ing about it. Do not "poke" people. If they still don't reply, move on. That person is probably not worth your time anyway.
3. Treat other people as you want to be treated. Don't cause ooc drama over nothing. Don't bring the ooc drama out of the roleplay into a blog post. Talk with the person, talk to the admins. Communication is the key!
My whole point with this blog post is to make people stop playing the victim and start to see the whole issue from another point of view. Maybe it's not always everyone else at fault, but maybe YOU have to change as well. I will from this point stop reading blog posts made by anyone but my friends which is quite sad, but I am ready to change. Thank you for reading.
