╳  I'm just thinking about stuff, the usual. And as many new au's and nonau's arising this season, I can't help but notice that the most active rps as well as the ones with the most original, creative concepts, are . Now see, as a person who doesn't do , this hasn't been much of a problem for me until lately. So now I have been wondering, is it frowned upon to join a rp as a straight character for purely plot/story/activeness reasons? Because I really, really want to have some killer plots with my male muses, but I don't want to be facechased for or romance or look downed upon because my characters have no romantic or ual attraction to the same gender. It's killing me softly because I would fKING THRIVE off of some of these rp concepts, but they are purely . I guess what my ultimate question would be, 'can you join as a straight character in a rp? With the given being no  or romance with women (obviously) or men.'

╳ idk if this makes sense or not, it's just something I've been wondering. plus im sure my much wiser friends and fam out there could help me out a bit

I personally don't see the problem with wanting to roleplay a straight character in a roleplay meant for men. Just do what you are comfortable with and point finger at those who oppose.

I completely understand, because although I do , I like the roleplays that are more open for choices? Idk and like I have characters that are demi or ace that I sometimes wanna throw in but I've had people stop rping with me because it's too much work (since all they want is the )

i used to join /yuri rps for the same reason, but nobody was ever that interested in actually plotting something other than romance or , so i gave up on that idea.
tbh though i do that with rps regardless of it being strictly male/female or being for everyone.
i say go for it if you're patient enough and willing to be a little disappointed at times. just slightly go along with the whole thing. hell, you can even make your characters one of those "not completely out" gays and make them ashamed of being attracted to the same . that could be a part of your whole reason for not wanting to do or romance. it'd be a legitimate reason, and could probably help with character development.

Well, as someone experienced in adminning rps, I don't see anything wrong with it! It adds color tbh, a twist of sorts. Turning you down for being a straight male in a rp is like turning someone down because they don't plan to have . That's too personal and none of the admins business. rps are basically all-boys rps, so you needn't have to fall in love and u v u If you want to be there as a male simply for plotting purposes, I see no wrong in it!

ah
trouble for all us straight or yuri girls
tbh I don't know much on the topic, but I can imagine that might not really go over well like the one time I joined a rp (before I knew what the M meant) as an aual... yeah lol
