im thinking about putting together a call of duty rp. it won't be or have the same plot, but the logistics will be similar. i think that this would be a creative type of au, giving the roleplayers here lots of creative freedom to mold characters with strong personalities and a knack for being committed to their country.
it will be built upon teams of special forces, that come from all tiers of the military (i.e. marines, the navy, army, air force, etc etc.) they will live on their respective base camps and will be selected for missions (rp-wide plots.) That have to do with secretive deployments, war strategies, terrorist protection and detection, and a bunch of other things. There will be a constant plot running in the background, with twists and turns at every corner----of which could go either way depending on how certain missions are done by the special forces.
i'm also planning on eventually having spies, zombies, nuclear attacks, cyber attacks, etc etc---like in the call of duty games
when a person is looking to apply to be in the rp, they will send in an application with background information, and from there the "secretary of defense" will "hire" or place them within a special force unit, in a certain position. Some positions include: technical analyst, officer, commander, intel detection, extraction team, air patrol, engineer, and much much more.
i'd also like to add with each milestone, military surnames. every induction of a rper will start out with a character as "private" and according to the ladder the rp has created, will progress with each incoming one hundred points----of which they will receive a change in title and a corresponding medal.
So hypothetically, if my character (let's say......Theo James) had accumulated 10,000 points, and became the commander of the JSOC's Delta Force, his full name would be sergeant major james. if another character just started out, and was hired to be the technical analyst, they would be private ______, until they achieve more points.
so, who's down?
