Abnormal Psychology and its ery, song recommendations that get me through life, and RPR currently from my point of view

I feel like this will be a series that may not be considered weekly, but also may be—it depends on how I feel. To be honest, I’m doing this for myself as a sense of a finalizing recap to eventually look back on, for those who are my angels, (friends) watching over with a silent eye, and for those who somehow find my incessant babbling to be informational or intriguing.

  • The Chronicles of AB Psych ft. Mindery
Might as well call this segment Jiminsicle’s sad sad mind-ion because I’m constantly ing myself over in the sense that the further we delve into the topics of Freud’s model of psychouality as well as various modems of coping mechanisms, I start thinking about my ticks and just how I got them. Which if you are similar to me in any way, actually I should rephrase that— if you are a normal human being who has been through some unpleasant things as a child, you start comparing yourself to abnormal behaviors and attributes that you can connect to things learnt in this class. What I’m saying is, is the fact that even though my professor always advises not to self-connect, you simply can’t help it. At least I can’t help it. For me, my “abnormal” behavior I always thought were quirks— are highlighted. I can relate heavily to these abnormal ticks because I have them—and the sources brought to mind that instigated such behaviors are things I went through. Or I am going through. I guess in a way it’s helping me through the class, but its also kind of a downer. Being your own experiment or person of study when it comes to abnormal behaviors, that is. It's not all completely depressing however, because now I'm better understanding what made me, me. Who is a pretty damn awesome person, tbh. No matter how I was cooked or thrown in the oven, the ending product is something I am confident about. It also makes me want to do better, if that makes sense. It makes me want to change potentially unhealthy behavior.

  • RPR and how I see it currently
I’ve been trying out a very cut and clear profile as an experiment to see if I would encounter more serious rpers, and my immediate reaction is that hella people either don’t pay attention to profiles or statuses, or they don’t care. Because the people who did post on my walls, 8/10 did not follow the rules that leave little room for loopholes. Both prove frustrating and saddening in my opinion. Also, I notice that with the same profile that is for lack of a better word—stern, good rpers won’t even approach me. Good rpers that would normally approach me in numerous other rps. Perhaps because of intimidation? Maybe because they think I’m an ? It’s interesting, either way.

Another experiment that proves more positive results is something you’ve probably been noticing me doing if you’ve seen me around. I’ve been rping idols that we have seen face chased frequently, to really gauge the face chasing here. I can say that there is a substantial decline, probably because there are copious amounts of people complaining about it more and more. It’s also a pretty nasty stigma to have attached to your user, and no one wants that. Compared to my lesser known characters who talk more and engage in conversations, the popular face claims that would hypothetically get chased more, weren’t chased down as heavily as I anticipated. People paid more attention to the lesser-known characters who engaged in conversations maturely and repetitively. However, that leaves out the fact that popular face claims who are interactive constantly, are still fancied more, compared to lesser-known face claims who are just as interactive in the rp. Baby steps though guys, baby steps.

  • Conclusions
Anyways guys, if you enjoyed any of this, it would be nice to hear your feedback. Especially the experiments. If you fancy them and would like them to continue, please tell me so. If you have any ideas as to what to experiment with next, I would love it if you pm me your ideas. Maybe we can conduct one together.
