Basically, well the title is pretty self explanitary but my idea stemmed from this:
these two friends started off in the police force together, one of them was really good at his job and when he realised the police force was corrupt he left and basically became a criminal. (descriptive I know) so I was thinking of starting at a murder scene (one of his victims) where he is watching the detective (his old friend) from the shadows and we can plot the rest from there if anyone is interested. It can end up relationship involved or stay platonic, I don't mind.
