NO BUT REALLY, THIS IS ACTUALLY AN EPIPHANY.

So I was talking to one of my friends about the sudden SURGE of AU's (which we all know is peeps coping over post-exam muse and pre-next-semester jitters). Everyone's got a sudden -ton of time on their hands, so what do they do? Create. Invent. Destroy my life by adding more reasons for me NOT to have one to begin with.

But before I complain, lemme just say this...

Guys... Remember only MONTHS ago wherein we all were lamenting over the lack of AU's? How there was no muse anywhere and RPR was slowly descending into a dump of 2-day crackship rps a.k.a "glorified chatrooms"? I do, because I was one of those people and was I ready to leave without a hint of turning back.

But this... Guys, do you realize what's happening?

In the span of a month, SO MANY AU's have cropped up out of nowhere. City!AU's. Gang!AU's. Fantasy and Supernatural!AU's. It's like a REVIVAL of creativity. Not only that, but people are actually FLYING to these places. Recall back, even in the summer, when rps like these were crafted only to be abandoned days later... But now--- there's a following going on. People are joining these rps and they're ing STAYING. They're rping and musing out paragraphs and these amazing characters and holy I'm so ing excited.

I mean it when I say I wanted to haul . I was looking into Tumblr forums and already plotting my escape, but now... Just seeing all of this... It's a redemption of something I think a lot of us missed. Nothing will ever be like THE GOLDEN AGE of this site. That's long-gone, along with most of the people who took the biggest stances in it. But that's alright... because this December has given me something to hope for. If we can't have a return of the Golden Age, then dammit, this might as well be RPR's
BRONZE AGE.

What with the cesspool of AU's, the bubbling muses, the legit rping... And the lack of RPR-wide drama (we'll always have little scraps now and then, but nothing so terrible as publicized ery). This is amazing in and of itself and I want each of you to realize how far this is all coming. I mean, honestly, this'll end either one of 2 ways...

1.) Everyone abandons --- I mean ship--- as soon as school starts back.


2.) Peeps go on hiatus cuz school's important BUT maintain rps when they can and work together as a unit to ensure things don't die.

I dunno about you, but I'm super privvy to the latter option. If we manage to keep this up even during the spring, it's officially the Silver Age.

Seriously, I'm so damn proud of everyone. It's like there's a competition going on to see who can create the most inventive rp. I love seeing so many admins put forth more than just the 3 basic ooc rooms (wish list + chatroom + spam) and actually MAKE something. Guys, we're ing doing it. I dunno if you realize this, but the site's coming back.

Now uh...

If--- in the next few weeks--- every AU ever dies and a -ton of drama flares up, every user on this site can come back and blame wASScallyWabbit for jinxing this great streak... e u e;;; Lemme just knock on some morning wood, or however that goes.

But really... This is a movement. Join it. Embrace it. Enjoy it for however long it lasts. I know I'm legit fave + upvoting any new AU I see simply because it's a -ton of work to create AND run an rp like that. Just kudos to you hardworking bbys out there. ;; u ;;

Word of advice, kiddies.

Don't grow up. It's a ing trap. Adulting and honestly it's gonna take a lot to NOT repeat the "Fall of 2016" ifyoucatchmydrift... : ) Highkey gonna be on/off af because of this + splitting my time here. Idk, don't rush me. Lower your expectations to like Hell's level. I'll try when I can. But then again, I guess nothing's really changed.
