instead of reblogging dumb boring advertisements to rps

why don't you actually use your own words as a member/admin 

i'd much rather here WHY you like it enough to advertise, over the same annoying template copied and reposted a billion times

admins, tell me why you want me to join by telling me WHY you're excited for it, how much heart you put into it, and where you'd like to see it go/what kind of characters + backgrounds you're looking for.

GIVE PEOPLE IDEAS
MAKE THEM INSPIRED TO JOIN YOUR RP

rpers, tell me WHY you joined and decided to stay in the first place. tell me about your character, tell me about their friends and their relationships. tell me their story, and tell me why i'd want to join to rp with them. tell me about how friendly the fam is, how you think i'd best be able to integrate into the fam. 

im so tired of seeing this over and over again. im an rper before im an admin, so i haven't gotten the chance to test this out, but i know for damn sure i'd rather see this than constant cliche reposts of outlines of basic rules and general premises. give me something interesting to work wit jsy. 

if you really want your rp to thrive, advertise smartly, not in bulk. make people want to join it by showing them how creative they can be. give them options, make them think about the possibilities in your place. stimulate their imagination, damn it. 

and this sounds creepy af but along the lines of advertising smartly, advertise and talk to rper you know have interest in the genres you're creating. if you've seen a specific user rping a certain drama or in a specialized rp over and over again, give THEM the ad. that's more efficient than say, mass producing a straight only rp to an audience who's 99% .

tbh you're just gonna piss people off if you bulk advertise on their walls. [cause truth be only like .03% of rpers read past the title of your ad] especiALLY IF YOU DONT READ THE RULES. thats one way to get blocked and be known as that rper.
