Ok so I really don't mind crack rps as long as they're mild. Some NonAUs are, or at least used to be, pretty fun as long as they are themed and aren't crack. Still, I'm seeing some issues that just bug me so, so much. The thing that bugs me a lot, first, is plotting out romance. I guess this one isn't quite as bad as it seems to me but I prefer that for only 1 on 1 rps (and not always). To me, starting out knowing that your characters will be in a relationship ruins the fun. Also, it gives the "I can do anything and they won't back out" sort of mindset. As someone viewing this from the outside, too, it makes it seem like the people are separate from the rest of the rp. It's like the typical clique.
Secondly is /romance within the first few days of the rp. With the exception of rps that would have characters who are more ually active or whatever, which is pretty much just AUs, this is unrealistic. Since it's a nonAU, the people are idols! ting with people and falling in love so quickly is unrealistic. Plus, it gives a similar clique feeling.
Both of these can tie in with each other so I put them together buuut-
There's probably something I missed but :") please don't get too triggered
