i have been really wanting to do a thriller/angsty prince x knight plot as daehyun (he's been my muse so much lately crehs) but like yeah it'd basically be like, daehyun (who's consider low class in the kingdom) is chosen to be the prince to the king since the queen cannot bear children. and the previous prince mysteriously died, as so many others. so there's like a event held where parents offer their teens (18-21) to the royal family with promises of wealth for life. anyway daehyun obviously doesn't go, and instead works in the family garden where the dissatisfied king and queen find him and picks him. so after being dragged away from his mom and dad, he's forced to live in the castle,being assigned a personal guard (knight) hating him and everything about being a prince now. living there turns out to be pretty abusive, even more because of his disobedience. the king and queen arrange a marriage for him with woman but daehyun constantly avoids interaction with her for one, not being into women, and two, not wanting to marry someone he doesn't love. anyway! the knight constantly catches him trying to escape, and even cares for the bruises he receives from the beatings, and basically tries to urge daehyun to accept his fate. anyway, daehyun kind of ends up warming up to the knight, and they talk and spend time together and such. aigo, im trying not to ramble so muchl ;;;; anyway so like theres a secret within the royal castle, of the previous missing princes, and daehyun starts investigating, finding out more and more creepy stuff about the king and queen. they ended up finding out that daehyun is on to them and detours their plan for the marriage. and to end it, daehyun and the knight try to leave the village altogether with their lives, at least.
