Hello Party People, me again!
I am still and always on the hunt for new roleplayers. (Thanks to all of you who already hit me up! It's very much appreciated!)
Because I am not a fan of given plots one can simply choose, I prefer giving a setting, an idea of the world where the plot could take place in. Now, I have decided to share some of those settings, that are mostly dystopian, science-fiction, or fantasy. If anybody is interested, maybe we can develop a plot with that setting.
1) (Based off the TV-Series Black Mirror)
This is a future in which a person's social status is determined by their online rating. Everybody has a small device that looks like a smartphone, and every time they encounter a person they need to rate them from 0-5. Being a 0-0.9, means you are no part of society. You are an outcast, probably homeless or a criminal and aren't allowed to live in the cities, or even set foot in one. If you have scores from 1-1.9, you do the jobs poor people do, and only get by day by day. There's never enough food for sated stomachs, and the families are usually very small (one or two children). If you're a 2.0-2.9, you're the lower middle class. A 3-3.5 is the middle class, 3.6-4.4 is the upper middle class and 4.5-5.0 is the high society.
2) This is a science-fiction setting in which AI's have become our everyday companion, doing chores, babysitting, tutoring our children; stuff like that. However, not every human is fond of the technology development; there isn't exactly anything they can do to stop it, but they demonstrate and bs like that. As it always happens, some AI's develop a virus, which makes them anti-humans. In order to stop those, all AI's would have to be turned off, which not everybody is okay with, so humans are trying to shut them off and repair them. In the meantime, the virus spreads, and AIs who once have been friendly now start killing off humans, aiming for a robotic supremecy. Not every AI is like that, just like not every human is against AIs. Well, yeah, things get ugly and a war starts in which humans and AIs fight against AIs, and it gets all messy because it's unclear who is an enemy and who's a friend.
3) Third is a world in which the government takes a child's blood sample at birth and can determine everything, beginning from your success at school to your death date. Based on the outcome of this test, you are forced into a certain life; some don't even go to school because they're regarded as too stupid, they do things like Gardening or become soldiers at very young ages. Some, very few, who dislike the system, have fled to live the lives they wanted; more or less. They are called Shadows, and are said to be very dagerous. Most of them have a tattoo on their wrist so they know who belongs to them and who doesn't. The Shadows have made it their purpose to defeat the system and have everybody pursue their dreams instead of living off a timetable.
4) And lastly, this setting is a world completely reigned by religion. It is much worse than it has been in the dark ages; not only are people enforced to follow their countries religion, there are also fights among religions in which they want to determine the most powerful one. There can be only one God, after all. Anyone who converts, or who's friendly with a different religion, is immediately killed as a traitor. Nobody is allowed to go on vacation in countries that hail a different God. And if you do, don't expect to see the sun ever again.
If none of those speak to you, but you still would like to rp, check my previous blog post: Where are the roleplayers? I am still very much up to anything aside from those settings, be it hospital AUs, College, Mafia, or no-plot-just-. I don't really mind.
