The long awaited vacation starts on Friday - thankthebuddha - and I'll be picking up on a lot of things I've dropped over my hiatus!
I'VE DONE MY WAITING - SEVEN YEARS OF IT (hp ref) - Well, if anyone actually cares, I'll make a seperate blog about my acitvities. e n e ;;
Anyways, I haven't been reading much over the school year and I'm wondering if anyone would suggest any good reads to me? c:
I'm not picky over the genre, but I'm really interested in Victorian age set books right now. (I blame anime haha)
However, I'd also prefer you avoid recommending dystopia books (unless it's REALLY good) because I'm getting tired of the DOZENS of dystopia books coming out nowdays. (I can give you like tweleve off the top of me head right now ⊙‿⊙✿)
If you don't, you should read these then:
- The Legend series - Marie Lu (dystopia)
- Unwind - Neal Shusterman (science fiction)
- White Cat - Holly Black (I'm actually planning to read the series. I've liked Holly Black since the Spiderwick Chronicles. Heh.)
- The Inferenal Devices - Cassandra Clare (fantasy/romance. I think I can ignore the hp thingy with her because it's a Victorian SERIES)
- The Maze Runner series - James Dashner (dystopia/science fiction. Eh, supposedly it's really good - haven't read it.)
- The Fault in Our Stars (or heck, any of his books) - John Green (a breeze of fresh air compared to these depresso dystopian books)
- Seraphina - Rachel Hartman (fantasy genre thingyajig. again, a breeze of fresh air. also, there's dragons. \o/)
- The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd - Heather Brewer (fantasy. I STARTED LIKING VAMPIRES AGAIN BECAUSE OF THIS.)
- The Abandon series - Meg Cabot (uh. greek myths. furies. idek. my feels are just everywhere for this series)
