after work today i wanted to get my hair done because kcon is coming up....right?
so i researched a few salons near my house and picked one (who shall not be named)
I showed them a picture of what i wanted, which was natural, blended roots that ombre into foresty/dark green locks. i wanted my same cut just trimmed.
she spoke perfect english, so when i explained what i wanted i thought she understood. she did actually, which was the craziest part because at the end she knew she done ed up. 

i knew i needed my hair to be lightened for the green to stick because i had black DYED hair, so i asked her if my hair could handle it. she said something along the lines of, "oh yeah, you have lots of hair and it is really healthy."
so she started snipping, and i admit the hair cut itself looked nice. but then i knew something was up when she started to apply the bleach. she didnt protect my ears or my neck very well, she took GLOBS of it to the point where it was spilling and flinging onto my gown and even on my black work pants. this warranted a very nice and cordial...."how long have you been doing hair?" to which she responded, "my eldest is 26 and i have been doing it longer than he's been alive"
then she had it sit (the bleach) for awhile, under the dryer. 
the heat was bareable and comparable to other times i've been under the dryer. 
so, she began washing it out, nothing wrong. yet. 
when i was brought back to the chair i finally saw my reflection and was like holy . my hair was brassy af obviously but it was....more than that. the texture was weird and it was multicolored blonde more than usual. so i asked if she should tone it, or evenout the color. she paused but ultimately said no, her reason being that we were dying it green anyways. keep in mind the only color she and i said the entire time was GREEN. we were on the SAME PAGE.
to my horror, when she began to brush it out, CHUNKS of hair fell out. i tried to keep my cool, and she assured me that it was the bleach which i obviously knew. but i wouldn't have gone through with it if i knew this would be disastrous for my hair, but i have the feeling she really needed the money. and by the tone of her voice she was already starting to displace the blame. so at this time, one other client came in and so did a nail tech, and the nail tech was super chatty and was talking about hair coloring. ironically mentioningthat, "the last time she got her hair dyed chunks of hair came out, so i went and got a refund and even got them to pay for my treatment elsewhere" and my hairdresser was laughing up until this point. she grew quiet knew she ed up. it was awkwardly silent and every time she drug the hairbrush through my hair she'd wince and then gentler and gentler until she just used her fingers lightly. i was on my phone, pretending not to notice because im awkward and i hate confrontation. 
this is when another hair stylist finished up a client and she shadily went to go talk to her. i knew from bits of the conversation that they were talking about how to salvage my hair. they both came up to me, looking at it, pretending nothing was wrong. the other stylst was like, "well blue is really in season right now" to which my hair stylist went, "it's not blue, it's green. it's teal-green." suffice to say it wasn't, but she was trying desperately to convince me otherwise, and that this color was what i wanted. that this color was green when it was not. 
then she had the audacity to ask me, "so who do you live with?" the tone of her voice telling me flat out that if anyone saw what she had done they'd gawk in horror. when i told them i lived with my parents she quieted again.

keep in mind my hair is still wet, i've been there for three hours already, and im crying on the inside because my hair is cotton candy, trashy- blue and i cant even fix it because my hair feels like gummy wet noodles at the bottom of your ramen cup after they've been sitting for a long time. breaking apart at the mildest touch. then she tells me that she's gonna slap some conditioner in it and send me home, to which i was like, "wait, i'd like to see it blow dried so i can see what it will look like before i leave." she then told me that my hair is damaged and that any more heat wouldn't do it good, but dried it anyways like wtf. then when others noticed the now BLUE chunks of hair falling out, she laughed and was like, "oh yeah this girl has gone pink, black, purple, bleach bleach bleach." as if my hair was already damaged af. that was the one time i stood up and was like, "i have bleached my hair once, and that was TWO years ago." everyone got quiet. 

when i saw it half-dried, i realized another horror. my roots weren't ombre'd or blended at all, it was a deadass line with no blend. like my entire hair was colored sonic's butthole blue and my roots were his caca. which, majorly added to the trash factor. 

the rest of the time she had an angry look on her face, but not at me. like she knew she ed up and was trying to ship me out as soon as possible. trust me, i felt the pain and wanted to get out more than her. 

so much so, i was a and still paid AND gave her a tip. 
my total bill was 175.

 i told my mom during a panic attack at the taco shack next store, and being the womanchild i am, i told her i didn't want to go back so she did for me LOL. got my full refund and very kind apologies to boot. 

me, honestly. the one time i have money to look fly before kcon. 
now im crying and i look like in james from team rocket when i have to go work tomorrow with a "classy" hair cut. as my supervisor puts it.
