(I play female)

as children they met at the woods at the back of the monastery. her mother was a widow who lived as a nun and he was a young boy raised by monks in a separate temple a couple of miles away. when he turned 16, he left to find a place for himself in the world, travelling and practicing martial arts, becoming a respected master. she became a skilled physician, albeit looked down upon, helping the sick. she found herself as a servant to a rich family and he found himself on the receiving end of the feelings of the young mistress of that family. she has to watch the lady she serves be affectionate to her childhood love and he has to watch the girl he likes be treated like dirt. (I can play either gender)
