na jaemin doesn't really know who his biological parents were. all of his childhood memories were spent mostly in this little but cozy orphanage located somewhere in the midst of seoul. he was a shy and reserved kid back then; didn't know how to make friends nor approach anyone until someone had decided to approach him first.

IT was unfortunate that he couldn't recall his name, but thanks to him, jaemin started to warm up to others – that was when he saw the orphanage as something so special and dear to him, as if it was his only safe haven. everyone was like his own family; the warmth and joy of being in one was something the boy had always longed for and wanted.

one day, however, a family had decided to adopt him. he didn't want to leave (not that he ever had the thought to), and as much as he wanted to refuse, they had already signed the papers. he knew that he was going to miss all of his friends, especially the boy who had shaped him into the friendly jaemin he is now – out of everyone in the orphanage, surely, he wouldn't forget him.

though apparently, this new family of his was everything he had ever wished for too – they were too kind and loving, they were just perfect and he couldn't thank them enough. he grew well alongside his beloved step-brother; one whom he looks up to every day.

the thought of becoming an idol never once ran past his mind as he was constantly chasing his dreams to become a doctor, but as he was making his way back home, he was scouted by a staff member from an infamous company – surely, he couldn't say no, right? so jaemin went and participated in the audition. his intentions were not more than just having fun, but alas, he was chosen. it did shock him when they said that he had the talent to dance, and that he would become better at it once sharpened. they said that he would undergo a lot of training, and that's where his journey on becoming an idol began.

jaemin is often seen as a bright and bubbly person; radiating positivity and optimism wherever he goes. he may come off as loud and obnoxious at times, but of course, he knows his boundaries. he also acts childishly around people, though he's actually quite serious when it comes to work and deep talks. confident, bold, and hard-working, he strives to bE the best out of the best.
