born and raised in chicago, usa and being the only child of his parents, johnny grew up in a relatively lively household. they lived quite well, leading a life that was simple and easy to afford, not seeking for more and being satisfied with what they had. the seo family was very simple, nothing too extravagant about them to stand out. 

johnny had a normal childhood. he studied, joined clubs, made friends, earned passing grades, graduated high school. he had been lucky to be raised in a more asian-centric neighbourhood, where racism wasn't as rampant, and the kids at school weren't obnoxious bastards who didn't know better. 

initially, johnny aimed to be an idol, inspired by his favourite artist, usher. he had trained, flying back and forth between korea and america during summer to train instead of have fun. however, to no avail, he wasn't able to debut, even after training for so long. it crushed him, and to put it simply, he gave up. there wasn't a use for him to chase after a dream he couldn't reach. 

however, the entertainment industry called for him. he just felt right where he was whenever he's involved with producing idols, whether being that trainee to debut or not. at that point, he realised that perhaps his true calling didn't lie in becoming an idol, but rather helping others who had succeeded to get through their new lives and fame. 

since then, johnny was determined to become the best manager there could be in the k-pop industry. he wanted to be someone who could help his idols, to give them support and advice if needed, and to prepare them for the real world. joining str ent and becoming the manager for oasis, meeting the girls of the group and getting to know them, johnny couldn't be any more grateful. 

personality a chill, laid back kind of man. very goofy, likes to joke around and tease others. carefree and happy-go-lucky, though strict if necessary. rather protective of his girls and would do anything for them. witty and straight-forward, as calm as a mountain though is well known for his tranquil fury. won't usually show any negative emotions if possible, always keeping up the atmosphere in a room, like a mood maker. friendly and easy to talk to, also someone who you can trust your secrets with. a kind person, helpful, generous, not necessarily humble but generally nice.
