Ages: Baekhyun - 21 (sophomore) Chanyeol - 20(freshman)
Baekhyun was never the type to believe in those stupid stories about blood moons and vampire rampages. Not even when it came from his mother's mouth instead of the fairytale mythos written and passed down by human hands. But thinking on it now, when his fangs ache in his mouth and every scent and sound feels too-heightened and overwhelming, he decides he's the idiot for not putting more stock in the idea. It's not a blood moon exactly, nothing that could be predicated on calendars or even seen with the eye, but he can feel it. Down to his bones he can feel it. He doesn't know the details of how he's being affected, doesn't really care to ask his mom about it either, but he's jumpy and agitated which wasn't like him, patience suddenly worn paper-thin; he was normally a bit of a diva, as his friends called it, but this was insane. Even Sehun was beginning to worry about him and Kyungsoo kept tabs on him to make sure he was okay. The only people who knew about what he was were Jongdae and Minseok and the younger had been helping him cover his tracks; he had experience due to his werewolf lover. Still, if that was all it was, he could deal with the agitating hunger suddenly boiling like lava in his veins.
Thing is, he's got a problem. One with gorgeous and soft looking hair, brown eyes that look so captivating when alight with joyful radiance that could honestly cure diseases (he sometimes catches himself remembering how they look focus and alight with passion and immediately wants to bang his head into a wall because /wow/ that's gay). Yeah. Park Chanyeol. His crush of how many years now? The giant of a man had clumsily made his way into Baekhyun’s heart with his cute laugh, cute ears, and of course, his stupid height. And the reason he's currently wandering campus to try and calm his nerves instead of at the dance room. Jongin and Chanyeol’s studio was in the same building and he didn't need that sort of stress. He hated skipping practice and was beginning to run out of excuses. But what else was he supposed to do when he can hardly focus enough to keep in time while he was dancing? He can't practice like this. Not when the moon is making him hyper-aware of everything about Chanyeol he tells himself to not think about. So he takes the coward's way out. Reminds himself it's for Chanyeol's own good and skips practice even though looking at the masses of people walking around campus only made his fangs hurt worse.
Baekhyun sighed and wraps his arms around himself more, thankful for his big sweater as ignoring the buzz in his pocket. The only person he’d talked to was Jongdae this entire time, to let him know that he hadn't lost control or anything. He hadn't said a word in his group chat for at least three whole days and definitely not a single thing to Chanyeol. He’d been outright ignoring him and planned to keep doing so until he could control himself again. He started wandering back near the dorms, when he inhales sharply when he catches a whiff of something familiar, something that makes his mouth water and insides twist with yearning. Oh no. He straightens fast, eyes widened as he whips his head around to see exactly the person he's been avoiding storming up to him like a man on a mission.
"," he snipes under his breath, because already he can feel the urge to sink his teeth into the track of exposed flesh above Chanyeol's collar. He holds his hands against his chest, glancing around for some sort of exit, mind racing a mile a minute to explain why he’d been so distant. He takes a step backwards, keeping his mouth shut firmly. He didn't need the other to find out about his secret. Not like this.
