Lord John Krew, Grand Duke of Marlsbory, a man of great wealth and power is ill. He is a loving father, despite his ruthlessness in occupation, and his goal was to see his children's future taken care of. Though bed ridden, he holds on to give his daughters a chance to marry so that they may inheirit their properties that are entailed to them after marriage. If they are not married before his death then they will lose all but their doweries to his nephew-- whom he more or less despises. Will the girl's find true love in time, or will they lose everything to their cousin—a greedy man, who they can’t trust to uphold their father's will?
