Description

The Edo period was a calm era after the storm of the civil wars, even if earthquakes, fires and famine occasionally took place. Literature, poetry and arts flourished like never before among the military, merchants and artisans in the great urban centers of Kyoto, Edo (now Tokyo) and Osaka.

Rules

❇ Of course we don't expect you to know much about the Edo period, we, the admins, aren't specialists either, but we've done some research and are here to help you if you need. Don't be afraid to ask us questions!

❇ Also regarding the rule above, you don't need to be 100% historically accurate, but at least make it beliveable. No geisha wearing miniskirts or samurai wearing suits, please!

❇ All nationalities accepted, but keep in mind Japan had its borders closed during Edo period. Give a reason for your character to be there if they're from somewhere else. The only countries Japan had relations with were Korea, China, the Netherlands and Ryukyu (current Okinawa), so characters from other places will be limited.

❇ As always, no ooc drama, please. If you have any problems with other players, you can talk to an admin and we'll handle it the best way possible.

❇ Emperor and shogun positions aren't readily available. psswrd: Tokugawa They require a minimum amount of points, we'll add them later and make an announcement.

❇ Inactivity is set for two weeks (we welcome slow-paced and literate players), you have 48h to reply before being kicked out. Feel free to come back, though.

❇ Reservations last 48h, favorite before joining
