sometimes people are born different from everyone else. their genes mutated, giving them exceptional powers and abilities. while these abilities are not always dangerous, they are enough to scare those without.
as the years went on, more and more mutated individuals began to emerge. as the public's fear began to grow, the united nations decided to create a place for the mutants to live and learn to control their abilities in a safe environment away from the public.
at least...that is what they want you to think. silver vale institute is truthfully a prison. mutants are kept in highly specialized cells that supress their abilities and are forced to wear cuffs, collars, belts, or anything else that will prohibit them from using their powers.Β at silver vale, the guards are the ones with all the real power.Β

rules
1. favoriteΒ the roleplay. upvotes are loved
2. this is an oc roleplay. your faceclaim will not have the same name as your character. they do not need to have the same age either.
3. this is an 19+ roleplay. all roleplayers as well as faceclaims must be of legal age, meaning born in 2001 or earlier. minors will be removed immediately.
4. taken faceclaims can be found in the faceclaim section under "info". check there first before commenting for your character.
5. two characters are allowed initially. after that, 50 points are required on each character to get a new one. points are turned off in the chat room and ooc room. you may have as many characters as you want so long as you are active on all of them.
6. this is a mature rp. mature themes can and will be rped. however, triggering topics must be labeled and topics such as , ia, , and are strictly forbidden. violaters will be removed immediately.
7. this is a literate rp. 1st pov is allowed but one-liners are not. put in some effort.
8. all ual orientations and gender identities are allowed. homophobia and transphobia areΒ not allowed towards other members of the rp ic or ooc.
9. no ooc drama. no facechasing. no bubble rping. no userchasing. no godmodding. no metagaming.
10. ic drama is allowed and encouraged with ooc consent. is also allowed with ooc consent.
11. the p a ss wo rd is your favorite superhero and your birth year.
12. inactivity is set to 14 days. unless you requested a hiatus or semi-hiatus, you will receive a warning for inactivity, then a strike.
13. unless violating a major rule, you will receive 3 strikes before being removed without warning.
14. move-in couples are allowed. mpreg is not. other pregnancies may be allowed after admin approval.
15. character death is allowed with approval from admins. a character may be revived for 100 points, or you may replace them for free.
16. additional characters, rooms, etc. are to be requested in the "requests" room. tag an admin.
17. check the faq room for additional info on the lore and world here before asking a question. if you cannot find the answer, write your question in the room and tag an admin.
18. To join, comment "faceclaim's name has been taken into custody". once added, you have 48 hours to fill out the application form. read the rules carefully.
19. try to have at least a basic profile up within a week of joining.
