❀ Eastern Kingdom ❀ ↠ an event based pop-up rp 〔 on hiatus 〕

The Emperor has fallen ill, lying in the shadows, ready to claim the heavenly throne are his eight children. Set in a fictional land named the Eastern Kingdom, Eastern Kingdom: Battle of Xuanwu is loosely based of the Xuanwu Gate coup and fight of the nine princes for any one who is also a history nerd. Except in this version, women have rights to the throne too. The story is set in the 1700s.

The playable roles are as follows: 4 Princes （王）The sons of the emperor, 4 Princess Consorts（王妃）The wives of the princes, 4 Princesses（公主）The daughters of the emperor, Dukes（驸马）The husbands of the Princesses, 4 Secondary Consorts（侧妃）The concubines of the princes, 4 Secondary wives（室妾）The concubines of the dukes.  

The RP will have 3 events. The first is the emperor's birthday celebration where he falls gravely ill. In this week long event, characters will take sides, scheme, find allies, 'gather supplies'(points), plot and spy on each other. The second event is wedding season. In order to secure a better claim to the throne, unmarried princes and princesses will wed their engagement partners. Married characters can attempt to foil weddings. The final event will be the battle, where the eight (or remaining) princes and princesses will go to war for the throne. Winner takes all. The fight will be planned through a dice roll activity.

Note: Not every prince/princess needs to fight for the throne, some can simply support their siblings or stay neutral. In between the event, the players are encouraged to have their own individual plots.

1. Each player may have up to 2 characters of the same

gender and 3 characters of different genders.

2. IC drama is welcome, as there will be battles, fighting,

etc. I will keep the entire rp rated but please put

trigger warnings before your posts. OOC drama is unwelcome you will be kicked withou warning.

3. In the event you have to leave before the final event,

please arrange your character's IC death.

 

4. PLEAse be realistic. no mpreg. it's the 1700s, your character is allowed to be of any uality but it is the 1700s after all. 

 

5. No modern day technology for the same reasons.

 

6. the rp will only open when all 8 princes and princesses

have players.

 

7. password is your character's motivation for the

throne if you are applying for a prince/princess role.

if you are applying for any other role, state your character background.
