i’m hardly a coder but i’ve decided to establish this gallery because sometimes i get random bursts of layout inspo and i don’t really have a home for my codes, so here it is! also because i thrive off validation and the responses i’ve had to my work so far have been super encouraging and highkey gave me the courage to expand viewership to well… the entire website i guess…
the name of this gallery, criterion, is based on the main inspo for this front page layout aka the criterion collection cover designs, as well as the definition of the word as stated by the cambridge dictionary: a standard by which you judge, decide about, or deal with something. i think it perfectly encapsulates my reason for making this gallery semi-public, which means that it’s up for everyone to view, but the codes will only be released to those who request them! if you like what you see and would want to use any of the layouts here, you’re more than welcome to comment and/or shoot me a message to ask for it.
but most importantly, thank you for taking the time to check the gallery out! hope you like what i have here as much as i had fun making them <3

none of the images / edits used in the layouts are mine unless otherwise stated. credits go to their respective owners. my sources of inspiration include tumblr, pinterest, pop culture stuff (e.g. comic books, films, music), etc. i own 100% of my codes except for the occasional assistance from other coders, which i will always mention in the captions.
☾ gallery rules ! ☽
one. favorite the gallery if you’d like a layout code. upvoting isn’t mandatory but very much loved and appreciated!
two. either reach out through the comments or pm me, stating which code you’d like (and which version(s), if applicable). if you’re reaching out via comments and we’re not friends, make sure your profile is taken off private, at least for the time being. i have the right to refuse you codes without disclosing why, but rest assured that this will rarely happen.
three. i’m honestly not too bothered about how the layouts are used as long as the credits are left untouched so do as much tweaking as you like. not sure why you would do this but you can use it as a base code or point of reference too with prior permission. all i ask is that you don’t remove my credits (and show me when you’ve repurposed it because i’m nosy). violation of this rule will get you a first and final warning before you are blocked and blacklisted, and i will make sure all active coders on this site are made aware about you.
four. i get that my codes are kinda wonky since i’m no expert and the layouts are optimized to work with the design presented in the previews, so reach out through pms if you need help! that being said, i recommend having a bit more html knowledge than just the basics if you’d like to give the layouts a major makeover.
five. custom requests (as in you asking me to make you smth that isn’t already available here) will be considered but not guaranteed. details such as sections, colors, pictures, etc. will be discussed if i do take it, but note that i generally don’t do pre-made designs. again, i have the right to refuse your request, especially if i don’t have the time to code anything.
six. these layouts are made for viewing in opera gx and have yet to be tested elsewhere. i don't anticipate any issues with other web browsers, but if you're viewing from somewhere else (that isn't mobile unless it's super ed) and it looks odd, feel free to let me know! aff usage is also permitted subject to the above rules (with the addition of you linking me to where you're using the codes) but note that my layouts are optimized for rpr usage only!
seven. rules are subject to change however i see fit so do check back every time you want to request codes!
