When there is no Sun...
« ...welcome to the world where The Sun is every humans best friend. »
pure-vampires❞
...considered cruel and despicable, they are the creatures that roamed the surface of earth since the first days The Earth was able to sustain life on. The smartest, strongest, deadliest and dangerous beings a human could come in contact with. They have infinite lifespan, and never age unless they chose to. But as everything has it's weaknesses, so do they. They are immune (they will get injured, though, but not enough to kill them) to mostly every object, action that would normally highly harm or kill a human, but vulnerable to one star. The biggest star known to mankind and that is The Sun. As long as The Sun will shine during the day, vampire must stay hidden otherwise their existence will be extincted once and for all. A vampire's source of life is human blood, therefor there can't be a peaceful coexistence within the two species. But there are always 'mistakes' such as when a human will use more than just 7% of his brain and make a deal with a vampire, willingly to provide a stable source of blood for a vampire in return for safety. Vampires usually see humans as their food, property and they are nothing more than means to serve their every need.
half-vampires❞
...considered more acceptable by humans and useless by other pure vampires, they are the creatures that happened, by accident or intended, to become something similar to a pure vampire, but in a weaker version. They originate from humans, and that's why vampires sees them as nothing nothing better than humans. Although when humans find extremely difficult to defend themselves from a vampire, the half-vampires find it easier. They are strong enough to fight off pure-vampires, but not as strong as them. When pure-vampires occasionally have extra powers beside the common ones known as strength, speed, great hearing and sight, a half-vampire has to settle only with the common powers a vampire possess. A half-vampire will die slower in the sun light compared to a pure-vampire, due to the remaining human characteristics still in his body. Silver objects damage a half-vampire highly, when on full-vampires it has no such effect. Half-vampires feed on human blood and animal blood, though most of them chose a weaker life, feeding on animal blood which is not as strong as human blood, because they were once humans too, and they wouldn't want to hurt them. But there are always exceptions. The life span of a half-vampire is finite, around 500-600 years, but the aging system is the same. A half-vampire will have more chances of 'bonding' with a human compared to a full-vampire, due to their softer nature and feelings. Many times you'll see half-vampires protecting humans.
humans❞
...considered food by vampires and fragile by half-vampires, they are one of the most defenseless beings walking on earth. There is nothing special about humans, normal lifespans, normal feeding system, normal strength and high vulnerability towards anything dangerous. They live at the mercy of vampires and are defended by their faithful friend The Sun, shining above their head half of the time and never failing to guard them by the sharp fangs of half and pure-vampires. Many of them see half-vampires less cruel than the pure ones, due to their memories as humans, and tend to make friends or deals with them almost whenever they get a chance. A human might not be able to defend itself in front of a vampire, but a half-vampire can, and if he wants he can protect the human. The more reckless or desperate humans will make deals with vampires, selling their blood in return for safety against other vampires, because they are stronger and can protect them from other pure or half-vampires. Other humans protect themselves the old way, sharp silver blades, daggers, guns. Even though it can't kill or heavily damage a pure-vampire, it will slow it down. Vampire blood can heal a human's wounds no matter how serious they are, as long as the human is not dead already.
food chain❞
Pure-vampires: they can feed on any living being's blood. From animals to half-vampires. Animal blood won't satisfy their thirst as good as a human would. Half-vampires won't satisfy a pure-vampire's thirst almost at all, but they enjoy bitting other half-vampires just for the fun of remembering the times, the pain they felt, when they were humans and used for this only purpose. Other pure-vampire's blood will burn their tongue, therefore it's not a suitable food resource.
Half-vampires: they can feed on animal and human blood. Animal won't satisfy their thirst as good as human blood would, but most of them chose to use it as primal food resource. Pure-vampire blood will burn their tongue, but but some vampires, if they can, will hide their identity as vampires just to see them suffer when they get to taste the crimson liquid what they crave for.
Humans: Normal diet. Animal meat, vegetables, cereals and fruits. Vampire blood only serves as a universal healing potion, but they rarely get to test it. Humans will perceive the vampire blood's taste as abnormally sweet.

bonding❞
Pure-vampires: they usually bond with other vampires only. Their exagerated sense of pride will prevent them from getting friendly with anyone other than pure-vampires, but there are always exceptions.
Half-vampires: they usually bond with other half-vampires and humans. Their simphaty for humans and hate towards the higher ranked species many times make half-vampires ally with humans against vampires.
Humans: they usually bond with other humans. They fear towards both species makes them reluctant to approach a half-vampire and totally prevents them to get close to pure-vampires. But there are always circumstaces that will make them deviate from the common rules.

transformation❞
A human can become a half-vampire when a vampire almost drains a human of his blood, leaving very little left, but choses to spare the human's life by giving him his vampire blood to drink. There are desperate humans who can't deal with the fact that their life is over, and they refer to this only so they won't die just yet. And there are vampires who are aware of how much a human despite becoming one of theirs, therefore take pleasure in seeing them hate themselves for becoming a monster like them.
