Kokoro Roleplay (NOW OPEN!)

PART I: KOKORO:
 

Established in 1808, Kokoro College nestled high in the aptly named little town of Mountain Village, Colorado USA is attended by only the wealthiest of students from various countries around the world. However, should a particular student that is less fortunate on the monetary front, show great sporting or academic capabilities, then they too will be accepted into the university on a scholarship. Students that have a strong desire to succeed in life and will do almost anything to ensure that their happiness is within reach, will thrive in the residence halls and lecture rooms alike within the college.


The amenities in Kokoro are up to the highest standards and made with the success of the teams in mind, along with of course, the happiness of the student populace in general. 
With its luxurious residence halls that house both es on opposite sides of the building, Kokoro isn’t meant to be a place of partying and debauchery, but with the wealthy youth of today, wandering the hallways, used to getting their own way in life, it will come as no surprise when lewd acts are carried out behind the heavy, oak doors. 
When bedtime rolls around and the students are expected to have turned in for the night, is the best time for everyone to let loose and have a little fun. After all, there will be no staff members patrolling the halls after midnight and no one to witness the events that unfold when the students are left to their own devices. Opportunities also cannot be missed during the daylight hours to create some havoc either. There will be ample chances to mess with others, meet up with your lover or simply spend the entire day with friends, some even your “clique” wouldn’t be thrilled about you mingling with. It’s your life however, and your college days, do what you want with them. 


As for your resident ghost story that lingers at every college across the land, Kokoro has its very own version, concerning a young woman that leapt into the violent, rushing waters of the waterfall that sits alongside the building. Said to have been pregnant and ashamed of the identity of the unborn child’s father, she decided to tragically jump to her death, plunging into the icy waters below. It was 1942 when the tragedy occurred and her plight would most likely have fallen on very unsympathetic ears. After all, student and teacher relations outside of the classroom, were heavily frowned upon. To which, they still are. 
The young ghost of Abigail Whitney is said to wander the halls, looking for her friends. Wailing out her desperation and utter sadness in hopes of having someone hear her and come to her aid. Whether you believe in the tale or not, you wouldn’t want her dorm room, for that is where she is apparently seen the most. Hovering over your form as you sleep or watching you from the corner of the room, wondering why you are in her bed. She wasn’t the sweetest of girls, so you may find yourself yanked right out of slumber or perhaps you will see the spirit as she urges you to leave. Stories don’t scare you though, right? Just make sure when your room number is assigned to you, it isn’t 201. Good luck.


Whatever your goals in life and whoever you prefer to socialise with outside of school hours, Kokoro College promises to be a wild ride for every student. With its monthly balls, aimed towards helping the students interact with each other, to the various groups held and attended by the student body at large, you are sure to find something to interest you here. Not to mention the different personalities you will encounter along your journey. 


So no matter what “clique” you associate with, this school promises to be fun and somewhere that may very well change your outlook on things, for the better too. Join us and start your voyage, you never know, you may very well fall in love with the “enemy”, become best friends with the head cheerleader or find out you are somehow related to that kid that smokes dope all day, but has the best jokes and one-liners. Kokoro aims to fill every need you will ever have within its walls, where weekly tasks will be assigned to students and shall be carried out in pairs or groups. Of course, regular parties in the residence halls are almost a given.


For those that lack their fellow students enthusiasm for all things academic, there are other ways to spend your time whilst you choose to play truant. You can relax in many of the rooms inside Kokoro, from the residence halls, cafeteria, swimming pool, football field, library or even in someone else’s bed, the choice is down to the individual. However, any students being seen to be misbehaving too much and drawing some unwanted attention from staff, the punishment will be severe… So just don’t get caught. 

PART II: ROLEPLAY:
 

There will be no set majors or minors for this roleplay, simply because there will be little to no focus on the academic side of things. However, there will be a classroom group for players to roleplay a lecture hall scene if they so choose to. The real attention will be paid to the schools teams, which are state champions. From the beloved Warriors, to the cheerleading squad, the swim team and even the chess team, there is a niche for everyone. If you would like to introduce other teams that students can join, please don’t hesitate to mention them and they will be taken into account. If you have a desire to run an event as well, please contact the mod and your opinions will be seriously considered and will most likely be seen through to completion for you guys. After all, happy roleplayers, equals a happy roleplay! 

Accepting a roommate means that your character will be appointed to a room which they will share with another. The main dormitory is for use by all students at any time and is basically each specific hallways kitchen and TV room to share. Although the dorms alone will have televisions too. 


There will also be lots of focus aimed towards interaction will the aid of monthly events and weekly tasks to keep everyone entertained and feeling as though they fit in with everyone. I don’t wish for anyone to feel left out and as though they aren’t an important part of the roleplay, because you all are. Above all else, my aim is to ensure that this place is friendly and fun, but we can only achieve this as a group, so please partake in every event we hold and make an effort to mingle.

Remember guys, this is OUR roleplay. We build and shape it together. 

PLEASE NOTE: If applying for a position as a jock, your character will be given a jersey number as a new member of The Warriors. If you have a specific request for the position you wish for your character to play, please add it to your application, otherwise one will be provided for you.

The head cheerleader will be decided by their fellow peers.

If applying as a member of the swim team, please mention it in your application beside your clique.
