The Legend of Genesis;
Once upon a time, there was a small and unique village known for its abundance of gold and rare gems. The little town was named ‘Absens’. The villagers were peaceful and all got along like family, each person knowing the other like the back of their hands. It was your stereotypical off-the-chart village.
Calm.
Peaceful.
Normal.
One day, a group of men mining in the caves came across a large handful of rare gems that were harder than diamonds but twice as beautiful. Crystal clear with a vibrant blue cloud inside, the villagers named these gems ‘Genesis’. Two weeks later… something amazing happened. The gems transformed into beautiful mythical creatures. Half good, half evil. They were like Yin and Yang.
By majority vote, the townsfolk decided to keep these wonderful creatures a secret from the rest of the world… everyone continued to live in peace like this for 100 years. However, like all big secrets, they eventually spill. Word traveled across the land about rare gems that could grant eternal life and power. It sounded wonderful. A group of trained hunters came to steal Genesis upon hearing about it. The hunters didn’t know that Genesis were actually mythical creatures though… they simply thought they were gems.
After every couple thousands of years, Genesis return to their stone form to hibernate and replenish their powers. And this… is where things went wrong. As Genesis rested in their stone form in the temple of Aurum (a golden temple created by the villagers in honor of the Genesis), the hunters broke in and stole them. They wanted to use Genesis for eternal youth and power.
Immediately waking from their slumber, Genesis leaped out of the hands of the greedy hunters and into the sky, showing their true forms: Mythical creatures. The hunters were shocked, but they didn’t care. They still wanted to use Genesis for their own power. Seeing the look of hunger in the hunters’ eyes, Genesis fled the village and went into hiding.
Forever.
The hunters took over the village of Absens and made the villagers their slaves, forcing them to help hunt down the Genesis.
The hunters hunted.
The villagers prayed for better days.
And Genesis concealed themselves in a world that offered no safety.
It was a chase.
A hunt.
A game.
And it was never going to end.
The Legend of Genesis.
