( Shape-Shifters )

Shape-shifters...so many of them run around in the shape of animals. And no one is ever the wiser about those elusive creatures that stay to themselves and never really try to disturb anyone that does no harm to them. They are protective and sensual in all aspects because of how they look in their human forms. But because of their relusive nature, they don't really trust many people, and not many - a rare hand full - has had the pleasure to see a shape-shifter in their human form.

Strength, speed, intelligence, and flexiblity; these are the main things that shape-shifters have. Being clan creatures, there are two main clans that the shifters stick to. They have only one alpha in each clan and follow them loyally.

Shifters are able to heal from many, many wounds, but it slows them down heavily because they body focuses on shredding whatever has harmed them. The only thing that can stop them dead in their tracks is silver, and saying that, it can be just about anything. Password for shifters is their favorite animal. Their fine sense of smell should be able to tell if silver is around them, but the hunter's have found that the herb rosemary conseals it from their sensitive nose. All shifters have attuned senses, heightened sense of smell, eyesight, hearing, touch, and taste.

But as hunter close in on the shifters, they have turned to becoming aggressive and deadly; the animals that the shifters use are to kill, maim, and maul. To leave no hunter a chance to collar  them and make them submit to them or the humans that are there to make them pets. 

They are fighting, fighting to protect themselves; the shifters aren't going to lay down and take what the hunters and humans are putting them through, they are going to come after the humans, and take back their kin, they will do so or die trying.

Some have been wronged by the shifters, others just want to hunt, and the rest...are in for the money. Days and days on end, they hunt down the shifters to trap and collar them. Nothing really stops them as they track down the shifters from town to town, even into the forest where several hunters have lost their lives in the quest to take down the shape-shifter population.

While the hunters are human, they have developed over the years and have learned to spot a shifter by the way the shifter's eyes flash golden when they bleed. Many shifters have been tagged and dragged to the black market because of that flaw in their genetics.

Armed to the teeth, hunters go out to take down the shape-shifters to earn the money that gives them way of life. Silver being the only thing that can hurt the shape-shifter, The hunters know that even if they are prepared, they still might die protecting themselves. Password for hunters is the weapon you will be using and the age of your character. Shifters never come easily. But then again, some hunters keep shifters as pets and force them to track down their own kind, much like a dog of sorts. 

Those shifters that are taken by the hunters are put up for auction at the Black Market. Some shifters never make it to the bidding because of the wounds that are taken by the hunters becuase of the injuries that they subtain from the fight there. Hunters hold true to the fact that all shifters - expect for the one that they keep for themselves - all shifters captured are taken in and tagged to be solf. Hunters are animals in their own right. They take everything and give nothing back.

( Humans )

Humans, the highest point in the food chain in this 'society'. They have the money, the power, and the influence. They don't care about the dealing of 'lower' people such as the hunters that are the ones that do the dirty work of the world. While they just want to sit back and relax while holding a leash with one of the most powerful creatures on the planet lay there like a docile pet. There isn't much that the humans can't get away with.

Humans are all as one, but there are some that can't be on the higher level. And those live in the slums, or as the rich like to call it 'The Gutter'. The people from the slums and the ones form the plush households almost never interact, but the people in the slums are deemed as human because they aren't hunters or even shape-shifters.

Most masters are known to take their shifters on walks, even have shows on how beautiful their own shifter is or how easily he/she can change into the animal commanded. But there are some that treat their shifter with what they deserve.

These humans are the real humans, and yet no one can see it as they continue to tear apart the shape-shifter clans, force shows of dominance over creatures that had no intentions of hurting anyone ever. Humans rule the world with an iron fist and at the helm, the humans make sure that things will stay that way. Password for the humans is their job and age of character. Shifters beware of them, hunters have their respect but never their admiration, and each other...they hate each other. Humans are at the top, and they aren't letting anyone forget it.
