@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun As if reading her thoughts, the clouds started to cry tiny flakes of white, her eyes following the first few as they journeyed toward the black pavement. Turning her gaze to the man as he spoke, pearly teeth sunk into her plump bottom lip in an attempt to contain her laughter at the sight of his newly-reddened cheeks. It wasn't unusual that he was dressed rather inappropriately for the weather; a common trend she noticed in men was that they tended to be rather ignorant when it came to the news and more interested in sports. "Alright, follow me," Sulli said, not waiting for him to respond before starting toward the staff parking lot. She quickly fished her keys from her purse and clicked the unlock button. The lights on a navy BMW convertible blinked in response. "Hop in shotgun. The heats are seated." With a quick wink, the girl opened the door to the driver's seat and slid in.

@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri Abandoning his thoughts to participate in the present moment, Soohyun turned to face the woman. "Well, I am robbing you of your free time so you can decide where we go if you'd like. And it would probably easier to take your car." As he spoke, tiny delicate puffs of white began to fall from the sky. A few of them landed in her hair and though difficult he refrained from brushing them out of her hair with some effort, smiling instead at the way they fell naturally when she brought her own hand up to card it through her long locks. The snowflakes reminded him that it was rather chilly and that he only had a measly leather jacket with which to combat the temperature because he never paid much attention to the weather forecasts. They were undoubtedly the most boring part of the news.
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun "I promise I won't ask for too much," the beauty answered, tone betraying the bit of mischief that sparkled in the depths of her chocolate orbs. The silence that had, once again, formed between the pair was seemingly caused by his tumultuous thoughts. Sulli found herself smiling at how cute he was in general, but even more so now when he was preoccupied with his own mind. The frosty air bit at her skin the moment they stepped outside, and she shivered slightly as the chilly breeze brushed past her figure. It was forecasted that snowflakes would be dancing graceful pirouettes throughout the night, which greatly turned her on to going to some form of a coffee shop. "So..." she drawled out, combing a hand through her silky locks, red lips parting to speak questioning words, "Where shall we go to have this...therapeutic discussion? And shall we take my car or do you have another preference?"
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri Soohyun had to at least sort of discuss his little problem with the woman so that when his forensics professor asked him at his next lecture, because there is no chance that the man would forget, he would have details with which to fabricate something about what she said and it wouldn't be a complete lie. Beyond that, however, he possessed not a single intention to even mention his father. He knew his request had been odd to the point where it verged on nonsensical but nobody seemed to mind and it was, so far, working. "Name your price and we can negotiate," He said jokingly, sweeping the door closed behind them and double checked that it was locked. The open-ended intention of her words was not lost on the student and he would have been telling a terrible lie if he were to say that he wasn’t at all curious about what she might demand for her overtime. He was very curious, and his mind wandered about the possibilities as he followed her out of the building, unsure as to whether she had driven or walked to work and what he should actually say now that he had her company to keep for a little while.
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun Humming softly in response, Sulli pondered on the idea of going out with the younger to have a 'therapeutic' discussion; one of which, apparently, he seemed to have ironically forgotten was not in her narrow area of expertise. "So, in other words, you're asking me to leave the office only to work overtime?" she countered with a slight tilt of the head, turning on her heels to face him after grabbing her purse and regular coat. A faint grin lingered on his lips, engendering a similar adornment on her own. He was a complete stranger, and yet she talked to his as comfortably as she would a close friend. "I guess I wouldn't mind as long as you pay me handsomely." Although her words were said in a polite, slightly teasing tone, they were very much so open to a great margin of interpretation. Within a few moments the beauty had stalked over to where he stood and exited through the door frame, draping her coat over her shoulders in order to prepare for the frost-bitten air outside.
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri "I'm asking you out of your office," Soohyun conceded with a lopsided grin, "To have a therapeutic discussion, of course." His sentence ended with a firm nod. He hadn't been offering her anything in appropriate, just his company. The ambiguity of his previous words fell upon his conscious as her lab coat came completely off her shoulders and the back of her dress stole his focus, but it didn't bother him for long. From what he had seen of the fitted black waist and the lace at the neck, he could not have predicted the style of dress that she was wearing, not that there had been many possibilities in the small amount of time he had pondered her attire before being distracted by her person. The back of the dress was entirely black; sat perfectly on her shoulders and fitted her flawlessly. If he were completely honest with himself, it made him feel like a bit of a dag in comparison but only for a moment because a leather jacket, white t-shirt, black jeans and lace up boots was perfectly acceptable on a student but would struggle to make a teacher look professional, even if they wore a lab coat over such an outfit.
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun "Oh?" Sulli raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised that he had decided to play along with her sardonicism and retort in such a similar way. The boy's boldness was illustrated by his carefully selected words, allowing her to notice the flirtatious manner in which he actually spoke. "From what I understand, you're asking me out, though I can't say I'm quite sure as to what it is you'd rather not do here." She spoke as she walked over to her personal closet that lay hidden in the shadows, hanging up her lab coat and grabbing her purse. The dress that adorned her figure was now completely exposed. It was a simple and black with a bit of sheer lace covering the small patches of visible skin. Some would call it moderately scandalous for a school nurse but not at all for a modern woman. His offer was nothing less than appealing; however, she wanted him to set his standards straight before she agreed to his indirect suggestion.
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri "I find it very likely," The student smiled as he spoke, doing so without a single shred of effort exerted to cover up the way he was looking at her. He never did cover himself in any sort of falsified emotion, couldn't see why he should bother though he found it infinitely fascinating when others did. Others often found to be rather intense before they settled into a comfortable understanding of him. And when they were as beautiful as the nurse Soohyun couldn't help himself.
Soohyun merely nodded, holding the door open for the woman. "If I may counter your offer," He said, adopting a formal tone that was almost, but not quite, free from mischief, "I'd like to accept but I don't think fifteen minutes will be long enough--and I would much rather not do this here," As he spoke, he pushed down on the handle of the already open door that he rested against his shoulder. Something about the nurse's office made him uneasy and that was the first thing to make the leap between their beliefs, the second was

@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun "I believe it is so. It's possible that our beliefs differ though I find that highly unlikely." Sulli shrugged, the faintest of smiles adorning her lips at the sardonicism of her own words. It was apparent that some aspect of his demeanor had changed--she couldn't pinpoint exactly what--and that the student intended to stay in her office for a bit longer. Pressing the home button on her iPhone, she glanced down at the small screen, eyebrows raising slightly as she read the time. It was a quarter 'til 6pm, which meant that they only had 15 minutes of play time remaining before her workday was over. "So..." the beauty drawled out, breaking the pregnant silence that had materialized between the pair. "I once again extend my offer, so if you decide to accept, feel free to take a seat. Just know that my shift is almost done." Even though he was a student, she couldn't help herself from obliquely teasing him; it was painfully obvious that he was perplexed yet enamored by her paradoxical behavior and appearance.
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri The words that told him he could leave dragged down his spine and made his feet heavy as he walked towards the door. Something, he didn't see what, turned him around and halted him so that he was leaning against the open door frame. Underneath her coat she was dressed elegantly, every detail of her dress appeared to have been considered. Soohyun liked details. Hers didn't really fit together: she looked like the type to have a magnetic personality who drew in all the best people but she wasn't delicate like the social butterfly she appeared to be; she was weighed down by a hard edge and he couldn't figure out why. He also liked challenges, so when her next words broke into his conscious he made a decision. Something about her made this challenge lucrative, and he wanted...well he didn't really know, but he knew that he didn't really want to leave. "Is that so?" He asked her
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun Sulli was almost disappointed when those few words emitted from betwixt his parted, full lips, though she covered up her emotions with a relaxed albeit luster visage. "Right," she drawled out, drumming her fingers on the desk to an imaginary, languid beat. "In that case, you're free to leave whenever. I believe that the counseling you are seen to be in need of does not lie in my area of profession." There was a playful edge to her words, though it was flecked with the bittersweet promise of understanding. Chocolate eyes flitted over to the closed window, a soft sigh escaping her as the beautiful moon greeted her view, adorned with a sea of dulled stars. Time was ticking down with each ray of faint sun that disappeared, signaling it was about to approach the hour of her departure. Standing up, the beauty stretched her arms in the air and allowed the lab coat to drop from her shoulders, all the while blatantly ignoring the male's fascinated (ere analytical) stare. "It may be challenging, but the sky is much more beautiful to gaze at than my face."
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri There was only the slightest of changes to the atmosphere but they were sizeable enough to tingle on the neck of the seated man. "Darn!" Soohyun chuckled, cracking a smile at the and offering her a small glimpse of his glimmering eyes from he held his head tilted and about halfway down. The offer was tempting when it was light up with even the smallest of her smiles, but he told her honestly, "He made me wait until /after/ class to come and see you and I have no more classes for the rest of the day. And I can tell that you are /very/ busy." He punctuated his words by placing his hands on the bench behind him and leaning back, rolling his neck to look at her from a different angle as he did so. It was hard to imagine that staying with her under the pretense of her counselling him was really acceptable, even if there was no one else around for her to tend to, but she was not his polar opposite; the metallic shine of her melancholy disposition was at odds with the warmth of her features and that was the very thing that drew him into her magnetic field. She was tragically paradoxical, beautiful yet puzzling, and he was unable to take his eyes off all of the pieces that he wanted to put together about her.
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun "Shin Soohyun..." Sulli tested the name on her tongue as her manicured fingers ghosted across the tops of the many files, eventually stopping atop his. Pulling it out, she flipped it open and lazily skimmed the contents, somewhat disappointed that he had no records of anything peculiar or interesting. It seemed to be that the student was quite normal from a legal standpoint, except for the fact that his father was a rather revered politician. With a soft sigh she closed the file and the cabinet drawer, withdrew from that section of the room and leisurely walked back to her desk, taking a seat. The problem he presented her with made her eyebrows raise, decorated with a silent sigh of disbelief. "God, the teachers here can be so bloody dense sometimes," she murmured, primarily only to her own ears, before focusing her attention back on the attractive male. "Well, I can't say that I have a cure for that...illness, but you're welcome to stay here and talk if you don't desire to return to class." The atmosphere had turned sullen, and in a rare attempt to evoke a cheerful word from him, Sulli offered him a small albeit playful smile, her gaze replete with a multitude of abstruse emotions.
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@[H]〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri "Yes..." He supposed aloud, "'Something'," He could call his own father a something, couldn't he? It was true. What exactly his father was- well, he knew what he was: bigoted, narrow minded, blah, blah, blah, all the run of the mill things that made a person horrible- he really would have rathered ignore the man, but at least the dry humour in the nurse's tone made up for something. She sounded tired, even, like whatever it was that upset her had been going on for a long time; so long she could no longer take pleasure from her work and just went through the motions hoping it would bring on home time. "Shin Soohyun, second year." His answer was polite while his eyes were not. They never meant to pry but people often found his gaze intrusive. He couldn't help himself, he was so intrigued by her. Confirming with a nod the fact that he had never been to see the campus nurse, though she seemingly spoke to herself, sure of her conclusion and in no need of an answer, he thought he should elaborate on his motivation for the visit. "I'm only here because of my professor. I had an argument with my father and was late to my lecture this morning, now the man insists on this. I don't mean to undermine what you do here, but you probably can't help unless you know the cure for being an _____." He huffed in frustration and looked up at the woman, surprised again by the look in her eyes.
〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri 10 years ago
@〈 ST 〉 Shin Soohyun It was unnerving--the manner in which he stared at her, that is. His clear eyes, so captivating and calculating, seemed to gaze right into her soul, the evident wonder layered within them deceiving his lackluster tone as he spoke. An unwanted shiver crawled its way down Sulli's spine as she hastily averted her eyes away from his, each step taking her closer to the attractive patient. "Something, huh? Very creative," she found herself saying, voice dryly sarcastic and laced with a hint of weariness. The faintest wisp of a smile painted her lips, the plump and neutrally-shaded illustration replete with unspoken lies that dictated the sporadic shakiness of every breath that escaped her. After a brief moment of silent observation, the nurse shuffled over to a giant file cabinet strategically placed in the corner of the room, tilting her head slightly to peek back at his shadowed frame. "Name and year, please." This was the required procedure; she would review his record, take note of any past problems or troubles, and quickly delve into the heart of his emotional problem.
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri She had the most beautiful eyes, big brown and soulful, and they swam with glass. To look at them was polarising; the light reflected off them in a way that made them glimmer but the glimmer shone so brightly that it blinded him with an unmistakably bitter sadness. It was harrowing: they made him feel empty all the way through, and he couldn't help but wonder what had inspired such a melancholic expression. Filled with so much wonder in fact that he just about forgot why it was he had gone to see her -- to see the nurse. After two blinks of the eye, and some thinking as to how he should politely phrase his request, he came out with, "My forensics professor thought you might be able to help me with something." His voice was rich and carried across the space easily as she approached her patient. Once he had noticed the drying tears in her eyes, Soohyun couldn't ignore the way it permeated her every action and he again lost interest in his own problems, because ignoring them worked just fine as far as he was concerned. Not only that but he was there on the word of a standoffish academic who couldn't be bothered to really listen to a word out of his student's mouth. He really didn't see the value in going to a school nurse for counselling about a relationship he had not the intention nor the desire to 'fix'.

@〈 ST 〉 Shin Soohyun "Goodbye, father," Sulli whispered bitterly before quickly hanging up the phone, leaning back into the cushioned chair with a shaky breath. His last words rung in her ears, haunting and taunting her, wrapping themselves around her heart like thorny branches, cruelly entrapping her endless sadness and frustration inside.
"You should've died along with your mother."
He was a monster. A cold-hearted, hideous, perfidious creature that demolished everything that had ever threatened to bless her with the slightest happiness. She furiously wiped away the tears that stubbornly slid down her cheeks, unable to hold back a soft sob as it emitted from her red lips. Her lungs were on fire, making it harder to breath with each useless whimper of pain. It hurt. Everything hurt. But what good was it to sit here and feel sorry for herself? She just needed to it up, like always, and continue on living in this apathetic world. "_____," she growled in a tone replete with menace, kicking the wooden leg of the desk in front of her. As nature dictated, it let out a low creak but otherwise stayed still. Ruffling her dyed locks with a hand, Sulli stood up and shuffled into the main area, wincing as her chocolate eyes adjusted to the bright light. It was in that moment that she noticed a fairly handsome male sitting in the corner, seemingly waiting for arrival. Just peachy. She cleared , internally praying that she appeared decent. "Can I help you?"
〈 ST 〉Shin Soohyun 10 years ago
@〈 TE 〉Choi Jinri Normally Soohyun avoided any type of health professional because the sterility of the space they occupied glared, bright white and unpleasant. And he was perfectly healthy, no reason to go and see a doctor when he was in such fine health. Bit of a waste of his time, really. Of course, normally he wasn't late to his lecture because of a disagreement with his father but apparently long spanning feuds don't make the cut for excuses for tardiness and he ought to see if the school nurse couldn't help prevent any further distractions from his studies. He had scoffed. What was a school nurse going to do that couldn't be acheived by avoiding Senator Shin for as long as humanly possible? The concept was enough to give the second year, double major a headache that had nothing to do with the assignments he had piling up and the lab he had to do the next day. Actually, he was starting to feel a throbbing pressure behind the eye that always seemed to precede his headaches... Marvellous.
Though, he had to admit that this office was far more comfortable than expected. It was smooth; soft lines and neutral colours did a lot more to soothe than blinding whites. The nurse was lovely, too. Aesthetically and professionally.
