✧ SUNAGAKURE

Also known as the Hidden Village of the Sand, Sunagakure was founded by the First Kazekage in the Land of Wind. It lies in a fortified valley behind cliffs of rock and built on one of the desert's many oases. The First Kazekage was known to be an extremely powerful shinobi and was said to have gathered all the desert-dwelling shinobi under his control with his overwhelming power. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, Shukaku and Yang half of the Kurama had been resealed into anonymous figures and has been dwelling within the village ever since. Due to their alliance with Konohagakure in the Fifth Shinobi World War, Sunagakure narrowly avoided destruction with a prolonged stalement between Iwagakure. Years after the end of the Fifth Shinobi World War, the village is being managed by the Seventh Kazekage, Akari, known as the daughter of the Sixth Kazekage, and the granddaughter of the Fifth Kazekage's older sister, Temari.
