Remember back in high school? I was walking around huge sculptures and small canvases were on my shoulders. It looked like I needed help but I was perfectly fine.

It was your first love and all. I didn't want to bother you or her so I always suffered trying to carry my artwork by myself.

@song jieun My eyes grew wide open when she mentioned blue hair. Jieun? With blue hair? What happened to her good girl image she kept for so long? I stared at her face, picturing the image in my mind, and finally came to a conclusion. Chuckling, I told her my thoughts in a serious manner. "I can see why your parents would be angry. Blue hair is a no go for you."

"So it's been 8-9 years already.." It really has been too long. The past 8-9 years had been complicated. Moving into a new country, I remembered the struggles I first had with their native language. Even saying a simple "Hello" was a chore for me. Coming across dance was one of the most life-changing experience for me. People battling it out, dance battles, rap battles, the DJ spinning the tunes. That was where I found my passion and that was how I started. I snapped back into reality soon after.

"YAH. You dare to find someone to replace me?" I held her in a soft headlock and tousled her hair. We still felt like best friends even though we haven't met for so long. Somehow, being with her made me forget the tiredness I had on my body. I got up and pulled her up with me. "Cmon, I'll treat you to something at the cafeteria. I'm not a bad person after all," I winked.

@lee byunghun I was a little taken aback to be honest, he actually did remember all the questions- in sequence!
“Anytime, bro,” I gently put the books on my lap as I started to stretch my arms forward a little. A smile graced across my lips as I looked back at him. “Blonde suits you,” I gave him a nod before viewing his soft and styled blond locks again and found myself grinning before meeting with his eyes again. “I've tried dying my hair with a striking blue colour once,” I continued. “Guess who received yells and 84 hours of nags from her mom?”
I smiled widely alone at the recall, I was around 18 at that time when I decided to wear new hair colour to school. I didn't what has gotten into me, but I knew I needed a fresh change even though it was only for temporary. And true, my parents were and are always busy, but it just had to be that week when I just dyed my hair the day before they came back from Shanghai and decided to rest for a week. Was it Shanghai or Beijing- I couldn't really recall. Chewing the inner of my cheek, I looked up to him again, giving him a light nudge.
“I've been trying to find someone to substitute you, do you know that?” I shook my head, trying to refrain myself from grinning. “Yah, you should treat me to some things at some times, 8-9? 8-9 years seemed long enough, don’t you think so?”
I tilted my head to view him and I gave him a teasing smile before bursting into soft chuckles. Let’s just say, I did kind of secretly hope that he didn’t change on me.

@song jieun "Woah woah woah," I moved back, getting battered at the amount of questions she bombarded me. Before I had time to react, I felt her body pressing against me, arms around me. It was one of the tightest hugs I've ever had, and it was warm and comforting. I never knew how much I actually missed her until now.

She broke away from it and blamed herself from not contacting me until now. Giving her a slight nudge, I smiled and looked at her. "It's not your fault. I didn't tell anyone I was coming back, really." Maybe I should have told her, then she wouldn't feel so bad.

Looking back at her, I remembered the storm of questions she gave me. "I shall answer your questions now," I gave her a serious look. "No I'm not studying well. I guess. Oh my blond hair; I was just trying out a new color. Does it suit me?" I brushed it gently. "The States was okay, I learnt a lot from there. Yup, new friends, as for girls, maybe one or two. But I'm single now. And yeap, I'm working in a night club as a DJ!" I pointed to my iPod. "Thanks for keeping it safe, I'll be dead if this ever goes missing." She was always so reliable, and even though we've been out of contact for quite a while, I knew that I could trust her.

@lee byunghun I nodded and smiled as my response.
"I still have a lot to learn," I continued, eyeing the books in my hands with a small smile.
I looked over at my company, tilting my head slightly. Quite curious.
"Business administration?" then it clicked me. "Ah- right, you might be the next heir in line,"
I gave him an encouraging smile but with a tint of playfulness.
"Are you studying well? What's with your blonde hair? How was the States? Did you make any friends there- here even? Girl- did you finally find one? I heard that you are working somewhere-" i paused, taking a slow breath and sighed before cracking a wide smile and threw my arms around him. I gave him a hug that I am usually not able to do properly with anyone else, but he was one of the excepted people. Gee, how i missed to bully or rant with this guy.
"-I've missed you so much you know? I even crashed my pride to be the one hugging you first, how could you," even though my tone was made to sound as if i was upset, i still wore my smile in the end.
"It's my second year here, and i just noticed that you are back, and you are here- I'm a bad pal," I muttered, burying my face into my palms.

@song jieun It's been a while since I saw Jieun and I was at a loss for words. I just sat there, keeping quite chill, well, until she nudged me. It gave me quite a shock.

"Yo. What do you do here? When did you return?"

I placed my hands on my chin, supporting them, as I tried to remember how long I came back.

"Two to three years maybe? Oh and I'm studying business administration. You're studying music right?" I pointed at the books on her lap. Music was one of the best things in life, and I was an artist in my own right. When I saw the books she had, I was interested in what kind of songs she would write, and how well versed in music she was.

@lee byunghun "Just fine," I smiled to him as I plopped myself back onto the bench next to him.
I tapped on the hard cover of one of my books, trying to think of the best words to say, after all, it has been a while.
"Yo," I nudged him with my elbow, chuckling when i saw his quite surprised reaction. "What do you do here? When did you return?"
She wondered of his name, Joe- L.Joe? She blinked as she tried to recall on how one of her friends just now addressed him as L.Joe instead of Lee Byunghun. To be frank, she was quite amused at the nickname. She kept her warm smile graced across her lips as she eyed the rest of the students coming out of their classes, ready to either go to their other classes or simply go out and play. She ended her only class this morning, she was staying back to do some research, well, until she bumped into this guy.

@song jieun I took my iPod from her hands. "Whew, thanks a lot!" I smiled, feeling relieved. I don't even wanna think about what could happen if the iPod gets missing forever.

I sat down on the bench beside her, listening to her words.
Why didn't I contact her for a long time? I tried to think of reasons but I couldn't come up with an excuse. Ever since I started work, I've been meeting lesser and lesser of my pals, and I'm not surprised that I haven't been seeing her. Looking at her face now, I felt guilty.

"Been busy with work lately," I sighed. "Well, you saw me now~"

Deep inside, I felt glad that I met her in this university. At least I know who to call when I need a hangout buddy.

"You? Are you doing well?"

@lee byunghun I was trying to stick the information that i was reading onto my brain when i heard a voice next to me. Just as I have guessed, it's Byunghun, and just as i have guessed earlier as well, the iPod belongs to him.
Calmly giving him a nod and a smile, i dug into my pocket and gave his belonging back to him.
"How could you be so careless? If I didn't stumble into you just now, you probably won't be able to see this little precious anymore again," I told him before closing my book and i stood back on my feet.
"I seriously have no idea that you are here, in this university, it's been quite a while. Have you lost my number or that you are too arrogant now to greet your old best pal?"
I gave him a grin, calmly nodding to myself.

@song jieun The last class for today ended. I came out of the class and fumbled around, trying to find my iPod. However, it was not there, in my pockets, or in my bag. I recalled to when I woke up suddenly before the class started, and I remembered.
It was on the table.

"!" I cursed and was met immediately with stares from all around me. I couldn't lose that iPod. It had all the music that I was going to need for work tonight.

Just then, I saw Jieun sitting on a bench nearby. Since she was with me the whole time, maybe I should check with her. I went up to her in a hurry.

"Hey, did you see my iPod anywhere?"

@lee byunghun I watched how he was in a rush, a chuckle escaped from my lips. He didn't change much. I watched him left before i returned my focus back on my readings.
"If you're hard up for inspiration but you want to practicing your song writing, try adapting existing poems-" I plainly muttered under my breath, rereading the sentence. I closed the book finally, pinching the bridge of my nose before shaking my head lightly to soothe the light dizziness i felt after reading for a long period of time.
I packed up my belongings, and there was when i saw a small object left on the table. I picked it up and observed it. An iPod? An image of Byunghun holding onto it flashed quickly into my mind. Ah, he must have forgotten this. I thought.
I slipped the iPod into my cardigan's pocket before heading out to one of the hallways of the university.
Now, how am i supposed to find him?
I tried asking few of my friends if they knew anything about Byunghun and gladly, one of them informed that he was probably having his class down the hallway. I thanked her and jogged to the certain class.
I took my seat on the closest provided bench. I grabbed one of my books again, trying to digest more information as the clock ticked by to the end of a friend's class.

@song jieun "Yeah sure! It's good to see you!" I spoke briefly, before lying back down.

"See you in a while, when I wake up."

I felt bad as I really should be catching up with her. However, I had work tonight, and my brain was too tired to think of a topic. I remembered seeing her putting down books related to music and songwriting. Was she majoring in music? What songs did she write? I thought about it for quite a while, and before I knew it, I fell asleep. Sorry for only giving you a few hours of sleep, dear brain.

"AWWW YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!" A metal song suddenly blasted through my head. It was a bad way of waking up, and I felt more tired than ever. I jolted up, almost falling down, and looked at the time on my ipod.

"What!?"

I put on my cap and swooped my bag up in a rush. "Sorry Jieun, I'm really late for my class," I rattled. "See you later!"

I sprinted to the class, and tried to sneak in.
As I made my way to the empty seat beside my friend, I felt a pressurizing stare on my body. "LEE BYUNGHUN!" . I got caught and had myself reprimanded in front of the whole lecture hall with people I don't even know. I slumped down in my seat.

"Your sandwich." "Thanks."

@lee byunghun Books about musical traditions and songwriting in hands, i made my way into the quiet study area. A table at the farthest end of the room caught my attention, but just as i was about to make my way for it, a familiar call appeared.
I glanced around to find the voice, smiling when a familiar face was looking back.
"Byunghun!" I flashed him a friendly smile before looking around briefly, making sure i wasn't interrupting anyone.
Carefully, i made my ways to him, dumping my books gently on the table, taking the seat opposite of him.
"Do you mind if i quietly sit here while you have your nap?" I asked, knowing exactly the intention of him by only looking at how lazy his posture was, or how droopy his eyes were. They are best friends after all.

With that, I stepped out of the lecture hall. I probably slept throughtout the entire class. It's tough having to juggle work and studies. Especially if you're a DJ in a nightclub. Ending work at 4am in the morning, with classes starting at 8? It's no joke. "Dang."

My friend nudged me. "Hey, wanna go grab a bite?"

"No thanks. Help me get a sandwich or something. I'm gonna catch up on sleep."

I had 45 minutes to spare before the next class, and it's important to spend them wisely. On sleep. Dragging my feet, I made my way to a study area closest to the next class. I found an empty table and sat down, plugging in my earpieces. It's ironic how everyone's either studying or interacting, and here I am, about to make the table my bed.

Just as I was about to lie down, amdist all the stares, I caught sight of someone whom I haven't seen in a long time.

That girl with the long black hair. Walking past me. I didn't even know she studied here.

"Jieun ah!"
