The Mall

@Seungri Looking away from the mess, Gain's shoe shopping was pretty much ruined. How was she supposed to get new shoes now, when all of her options were in a mess on the floor. Maybe there's a God out there was doesn't ever want her to have nice shoes. She blames Jae for this.

Not even wanting the brown boots anymore, she took them off and placed them back in the box, before putting her ruined ones back on. Standing from the bench, she walked up to the counter, shooting a slight glare at the man that ruined her trip, before handing them to the girl behind the counter.

A crappy trip with ruined shoes and she probably didn't have a choice, but to go back to her cousins. How was she supposed to deal with this day.

@Gain Looking at the mess he made Seungri cringed. Yeah this was just his luck. Clutching the box of shoes to his chest he went and apologized to a clerk who informed him that it happened all the time. This brought back up his spirits as he kissed the girl on the cheek and headed for the cashier with his purchase.

He grew antsy as he stood in the line nervously checking the clock. Seungri only had a small amount of time to shop and still had an outfit to pick out. Then there was the cat smelling woman that he had seen earlier. Apparently something about him had spooked her or she had decided that he wasn't worth her time.

Shrugging his shoulders he moved with the line. Women were crazy! He knew this from seeing the way that his second favorite noona and his akri behaved around one another.

@Seungri Gain released a breath she didn't even know she had been holding as she took a seat on the bench. ping her boots, she took them off one by one, being sure to keep her legs closed so she wouldn't show too much in the mini-skirt she was wearing. Especially since she could feel the man's eyes on her. It was unsettling and made her a little nervous. But if it came down to it, she wouldn't be afraid to defend herself in the middle of a store.

Pulling her boots off, she put the brown pair on her right foot, zipping it up and was on her way to putting on the left one when a loud crash startled her. Nearly jumping out of her skin, she looked up and saw four rows of shelves toppled over like dominoes and the man looking behind him at the mess. From the way he was standing so close to the shelves it was safe to assume he was the cause of the store now being a mess. "Wow." She whispered to herself. Maybe she should just go to another store and hope there aren't any creepy troublemakers there.

@Gain "No harm done." Deciding on the stilettos Seungri packed them up into their box. Hara would be wearing them tonight whether she wanted to or not. The female drew his attention again. The boots she had in her hands were nice every day footwear but she should really choose something that would make her more attractive.

Seungri leaned against one of the shelves to try and be inconspicuous but get a better view of her inadvertently putting too much of his weighed against it. He felt the shelf start to give and made it grab for it but it was too late. The shelf toppled back into the shelf behind it and continued for a good four shelves before the gap was big enough to leave the shelves on the other side unaffected.

@Seungri Something was off about this guy, she could feel it. Plus his scent was something she'd never smelt before, but he definitely wasn't human and that was enough red flags for her. Turning back to the shoes, she decided it would be best to ignore him. She'd get into less trouble that way.

Picking up a pair of short brown leather heeled boots, she wondered if they would look good on her. Her outfit for the day was pretty neutral, but that didn't mean they would go with her outfit. Crouching down, she looked for her size and pulled out the box, before standing and looking for one of those little seat benches for customers to try on shoes.

Looking left and right, she couldn't find one, until she took a step back and saw one on the other side of the weird man. Sighing softly, she prepared herself to pass him, hoping that he wouldn't bother her when she. With hesitant steps, she walked over to the bench, walking behind the man, slightly bumping against him since the aisle was a little tight. "I'm sorry." She said softly, really praying that he would accept it without any trouble.

@Gain Seungri caught a whiff of cat as he debated on the stilettos or the pair of powder blue pumps close to them. Glancing out the corner of his eye he spotted a woman. Inhaling deeply he realized that the scent was coming from her. Thoughts of what Jaejoong would do one conversation entered his mind. 'Cats are fickle creatures. You need to let them approach you.'

Holding the shoe higher so that he could keep her in his sights he examined the shoe from every angle. This one would match several of his outfits, the other one would only go with a couple of his outfits. The clerk had suggested that he go and see a few other pairs of shoes but Seungri wanted his noona in blue.

Although a color for relaxation it also made the color of her eyes stand out. He smiled in memory of the sweater that she had worn one Christmas that had almost swallowed her whole. Now that he thought about it these shoes would match that shirt perfectly, even though if he bought them he would instruct his noona on the ins and outs of what to wear them with.

@Seungri This day kind of for Gain. She got pulled to the mall by her cousins for some family bonding, like they didn't do that every night when they had to hunt down a slayer. After awhile of hanging out with them in a game store she didn't have any interest in, she managed to sneak away to the cafeteria across the way.

Just when she thought her day was going to get better, it got worse. All she wanted was a strawberry-banana yogurt smoothie in her hand, but she ended up with a raspberry one on her high heeled suede boots instead, because some kid was running around and not paying attention. Kid or no kid, she was going to him out, but his mother came and dragged him away without so much as an 'I'm sorry'. Now she had to go buy new shoes and throw these out.

Leaving the cafeteria, she walked a few stores down from the game store to the shoe store. The store smelled of fresh shoes and they were even having a sale. So maybe this day wasn't so bad after all if she was getting new shoes on a discount. Walking down a random aisle, she saw a man holding a pair of blue stilettos that weren't really her style, and she couldn't help but to take a slight interest in someone that would even look at them. Let alone a man at that.

His second favorite noona had a date...with a male that was neither himself or his Akri. The charonte knew the dark hunters closet inside and out. This information coupled with the fact that his noona was going on a date that his Akri wanted observed meant one thing...shopping! Hara had nothing appropriate to wear and Seungri wasn't going to leave the decision in her hands.

Slowly formulating a plan in his head Seungri perused the shops. He wanted Hara to be attractive but also uncomfortable in the attempt of her cutting short her date. Growling to himself at the thought of his noona with a strange man drew the attention of a couple walking past him. They paused momentarily to look at him then hurried on their way. Smiling he lovingly held his Akri's credit card up for inspection. Maybe while he was here he would buy something nice for himself.

A display window of a shop caught his eye and he darted in quickly to get a better look. It was well known to those associated with the demon that his one weakness was shoes. A pair of sapphire stilettos were there calling his name. Picking them up for inspection he again contemplated what he was going to get for his noona. A wicked smile broke out across his face. Calling someone to assist him he asked for a pair of the shoes for his noona's date and later to be added to his own closet.

@Sunggyu Gain turned around to look at the man she dragged into the store. "Sorry about that. I'm here with my cousins and they wanted to do some family bonding like I'm not around them everyday. I kinda ran away to the cafe when they weren't paying attention. So we'll probably have to stay here for a little bit." She turned to the door and put the red and white lingerie set on the hook, before taking a sit on the bench in front of the mirror.

@Gain What the hell is this woman doing, honestly? Sunggyu didn't get it at all. She looked like she was in a hurry, but at the same time it was not possible at all considering how she still could go to a cafe. He could still tolerate being pulled around, but to a lingerie store?

"H-hey--" Before he could protest about his situation, she pushed him into a dressing room and closed the door. Quite annoyed by it, he huffed and stared sharply at the female Arcadian.

"What now? You better explain yourself. I don't have time to be dragged around all day."

@Sunggyu Gain looked behind her and could still see her cousins in sight as they boarded the escalator to the third floor. "I'll explain later." Looking forward again, she dipped in and out of the other patrons in the mall, before pulling them into store when she could see they got to the third floor. Not paying attention to the fact that they now stood in a lingerie store. "Welcome. We don't usually get couples. Could I help you with anything?" Looking at the woman that addressed them when they walked in the store, it was the first time that Gain realized her mistake. "Oops wrong store." Turning back around she was about to step out of the store when she was her cousins not to far from them. "On second thought." Going back into the store, she grabbed the first pair of underwear she could get her hands on, before leading them all the way to the back and pushed the other into a dressing room, before following behind him and closing the door.

@Gain "Too?" Sunggyu raised his brows. "I don't have days off." It was true, he carried his weapons everywhere and he would be ready anytime if needed. Besides all he needed was only to protect his own self.

Not expecting the sudden pull, the male could only follow in confusion. He hadn't sense anything dangerous near them when the elevator door opened, so why?

"Wait-- what's the matter?" He asked as they slipped through the crowd, going towards the opposite direction of where they should be heading to.

@Sunggyu She nodded and she took a sip of her chocolate. "You're not wrong. I'm guessing today is your day off too?" Arcadians weren't the types to socialize much outside their kind. Sometimes outside of their clans. Looking off to the side, she could see her teammates going up the escalator, keeping their eyes on her. And they weren't riding they were running. She really hoped that they'd beat them up there. And her prayers were answered at the elevator bell rang, opening the doors as they were just starting up the second flight. "We'll have to take a slight detour. Let's go." She grabbed his wrist and pulled him off the lift, turning in the opposite direction of the escalators.

@Gain The loud ring made Sunggyu raise his brows, even more so when she immediately ended it without even accepting. Well, that was not his business-- and just when he had the thought, there it rang again. It rather puzzled him that this woman seemed to despise all disturbance even when she's doing something as simple as shopping...

Looking down at the floor, he could watch their faint reflection. His sense of smell had never failed him up to that point, but there's no point of acknowledging that he realized her origins - or so he thought until she did it herself.

"I am," he said. "It takes one to know the other, so I suppose I wasn't wrong in thinking that you are, too."

@Sunggyu I really hope they don't find me before or after I get my shoes, she thought to herself. Then her phone rang and she pulled it out of her purse, checking the number and seeing it was one of her cousins on the team. Swiping the red button to end the call, she went to put her phone back in her pocket when it rang again. Sighing in exasperation, she ended the call and turned the phone off. It was then that she noticed the other smell in the elevator other than the strong scent of coffee. Looking up at the man that ruined her shoes, she rose and eyebrow. "Are you an Arcadian?"

@Gain Well, in his own defense, Sunggyu just found it convenient to be able to throw things accurately - even more so if he had a throwing dagger in hand. But that was not for everyone to know.

"Okay," he nodded, pressing the number three once they got inside. The door closed in front of them without him realizing what the female did - it wasn't any of his business, after all. But it was then that he caught her scent, because she stood very close to him in the cramped space...

Another Arcadian?

@Sunggyu The walk to the elevator wasn't long, but it was enough for her to not like him even more than she already doesn't. She'd seen that throw he made and muttered 'show off' under she breath. She'd finish off at least half of her hot chocolate. When he walked in front of her, she wondered what he was doing, before he got on the elevator, she followed him right after. "Yeah, third floor." Turning around, she could see her team coming out of the store and right before the door closed, she and another member made eye contact. Waving slightly, she smiled slyly as he pointed to her out to the rest of the group.

@Gain Honestly, if he might have a say, the words 'really cute' doesn't suit her. But Sunggyu had only huffed a sigh and followed the female out of the cafe. It's better to stay silent after all.

Quietly, he drank the rest of his coffee that he didn't spill. The Fates are strange.Why this, why now? Throwing the empty cup into the trash can with the accuracy of a pro basketball player, the male took the lead as he saw the door of the lift nearby opening, showing no interest in her at all.

"Third floor, right?"

@Sunggyu This man was just full of surprises, huh? She didn't expect him to agree to that, but then again he had said he would pay. "Great. There's this really shoe store on the third floor that sales these really cute shoes. Once I get my order, we can head up there." And not a moment too soon did the clerk at the counter ring up her food, before attending to another customer. Taking her order, she turned and headed toward the door of the cafe. "Come on." She said as she lead the way.

@Gain Momentarily, Sunggyu glanced at his watch. Not that he actually have anything to do, but aside of the request being totally unreasonable, he wanted just to relax a bit... but even that seemed to be a luxury by then. He sighed. To say no would just be more of a fight and it benefits no one including him, mainly because this female doesn't seem to be one who would comply to his requests either way.

"...Fine."

The faster it's done, the better.

@Sunggyu That didn't go the way it expected. She thought she'd at least get some kind of rise out of him or have him looking scared for not being able to afford her shoes. What was up with the men that ruin her boots having such passive attitudes? Not even getting a little riled up. Glaring at him, she thought about how much the shoes were when she got, and realized that it had been a few years since she bought them, so there's no way she'd find the same kind anywhere. Crossing her arms, she settled on her hip. "I paid $250 for these shoes and unfortunately they're no longer sold in stores, so you'll have to take me shopping for a new pair."

@Gain "Well, miss, it's not my fault either-- never mind." Sunggyu sighed as from the corner of his eyes, he saw the guy disappearing in the crowd. Turning to the fuming woman, he just mentally thought about the attitude she has... really, can they not just settle this in a friendly way? It's not that he has no money to pay - in fact, he has more than enough. But if anything, the way she looked down on him was really something.

The arrogance of people nowadays... luckily Sunggyu had lots of self control. People around them started to murmur, but he only returned the hard stare passively.

"How much?" was his only question as he faced the female calmly. "I'll pay."

@Sunggyu Gain had been happily waiting for her order, until someone spilled coffee on her shoes. She's spoke to soon. Her reaction wasn't immediate. It was silent as people watched what had happened, waiting to see if it would turn into a spectacle or be nothing special. And a spectacle it became. She lightly the bottom of her lip, before turned to the man that was apologizing for his mess. Her glare was hard and it took everything in her to not jump him in public. "You're sorry? You're sorry? Are you ing kidding me! Do you know how much I paid for these shoes? Huh? Do you have the money to get me new ones? Cause if you don't there's gonna be hell to pay!" This was the second time in a week that this happened to her. Why are men always ruining her shoes? Do they just not like them, even though they're really cute?

@Gain On the contrary, it was very much a usual day for Sunggyu. The mall was quite crowded by then. It was weekend and though he knew that it would be more crowded than he would like, he chose the mall - mainly because there's that very nice CD he aimed to buy. After buying it at the music store and visiting the bookstore for the third time in the week, he walked with light steps to the cafe.

He didn't, after all, have anyone to protect but his own self. No attachment had been the rule he always go by, at least until that point in time.

Having his gray hoodie up to cover the strange pattern by his hair, the male Arcadian easily ordered his cup of coffee. Unfortunately for him, a big, fat guy bumped onto him, causing the coffee he was about to bring to the table to spill over the boots of the female standing beside him at the counter. The guy continued to walk like there's nothing happened and as much as Sunggyu seriously want to curse at him, he could only take a deep breath knowing that this time he'll have to take responsibility.

"Oh, shoot. I'm so sorry!"

@Sunggyu Days like these were rare for Gain as her team and she didn't have any slayers to hunt and kill, so it was agreed that today would be a day off, and the first thing she wanted to do was go to a cafe and eat and drink all day, but her team wanted to spend quality time together, like don't do enough of that, not out on the field and decided, against her one vote not to, to go to the mall. And here she was bored out of her mind as they went shopping for video games. Being the only girl can really sometimes. Looking across the way from the game store, she saw the cafe and got an idea. Looking back at her members, she slowly turned away and walked on the toes of her heeled boots, sneaking out the store without their notice. Almost jumping for joy, she ran as well as she could to the cafe across the way, almost jumping for joy. Once there, she immediately went up to the counter and ordered two pumpkin scones with a cup of hot chocolate. Today seemed like a better day already.
