Jaejoong's Mansion

@Hara "NOT JUST ANY WOMAN!" He replied defensively and got up, nearly trying not to slip on a piece of fallen cutlery. "You did your stuff with your wiles and it was all discombobulating." Jaejoong was mortified and tried to cover his embarrassed face. "Why do you do this to me?" He would never hear the end of it. His one solace was that Seungri missed the whole thing.

@Jaejoong Looking down at him she was stunned at what had happened. "The almighty destroyer of the world ends up on his back on the floor after jumping away from the touch of a woman." Shaking her head she shrugged and exited the room.

The day had come when she got to see the god turn shy. It was wonderful! She quickly pulled her phone out of her pocket and sent him a text asking him if he was ok before continuing to leave the house. She had to find Dara, this was going to be very amusing.

@Hara At her touch the god outright jumped and went to balance himself on the counter only to miss entirely. His hand clutched the dish drainer and took it with him on the way down. Dishes, pots, and pans flew everywhere and hit the tile floor with nearly deafening clings and clangs.

Jaejoong groaned as he lay flat on his back on the floor and closed his eyes. This wasn't really happening. It had to be some weird reality where all the women in his life were trying to drive him insane, yeah, that had to be it.

@Jaejoong she shivered remembering the horror of Seungri's "makeover". He told her that just because she fought daimons didn't mean that she shouldn't dress like she had someone to impress. That little adventure had her trying to fight in a tight mini skirt while wearing stilettos. The results had almost been detrimental to the neighborhood. She swore to herself that she would never let Seungri get a hold of her again.

"Yeah well at least he didn't eat the homeless guy. I wonder who Dara thinks is more attractive. I'm definitely leaning towards you myself in this." She reached across the distance to grab a hold of his chin to inspect his face again.

@Hara It was clear from her expression that Hara had an idea he was planning something but that made it all the more fun. Of course she would likely be upset at him about it later but that was how their relationship worked. "Haters just jealous they don't look this good so they want to spoil it for everyone." he joked and shrugged. It was not at all serious, he knew it wasn't about his looks but it was a more amusing story than the truth.

"Seungri is so not more attractive than me. He might think so but he also believe he looks great in red high heels and that homeless people are tasty so we don't have to pay attention to his opinions." Jaejoong reminded her. "What about the time he tried to fix your look? I seem to recall a rather spectacular fight after that."

@Jaejoong Hara glared at her employer. Jaejoong was up to something and she had a sinking suspicion that she wouldn't discover what it was until it was too late. She snorted at his comment about his face. "Invincible you may be but that won't stop your enemies from trying to kill you and bring about the end of the world."

She smirked. "There are also many that would argue that your demon is more attractive then you are. I think that he has stated so as well on a number of occasions while out shopping to "improve his image"." Shopping with the charonte was always fun especially when he would buy things for the god, saying that he needed to really dress the part instead of trying to hide his dashing good looks. It was always fun to help hide the newly acquired clothes in Jaejoong's closet.

@Hara Even though she answered many of his questions it was vague enough to really capture his interest. "You don't even know..." he mumbled and already started forming a plan that may or may not have involved a certain demon crouched outside of her house watching her every move. Yeah, that would be a brilliant plan. He just had to figure out how to keep the charonte interested.

"My face?" he asked and lifted his chin as he ran his finger along his jawline. "My face is amazingly perfect and always will be. It just might take another day or so to return to it's normally gorgeous coloring." The god had to laugh at himself and shrugged. "Though occasionally bruised and broken I am invincible!"

@Jaejoong She raised an eyebrow at him. "An old acquaintance of mine is coming into town for a few nights and we thought we'd get together. You don't know him, not really sure what his intentions might be but either way I don't really care, and I'm not telling you the who because knowing you, you'll look into him somehow."

She didn't ask for time often and no matter what she was going to do she had wanted a night of no daimons, were hunters, dark hunters, gods or charontes. Providing nothing bad happened, knowing her luck it would, she wanted to have a nice relaxing night. She smirked at Jaejoong. "Even though I really don't think you should let your face take anymore of a beating."

@Hara "D-date?" he asked both alarmed and surprised at the same time he tried not to trip over his own tongue. "Not that you can't get one or anything but when did this happen? Who is this guy? Do I know him? What are his intentions?" The questions just poured out of him and he felt more like a father hearing his baby girl was just asked to prom even though she was a sophomore.

"Is there any chance you could bring your date along? Maybe use him as bait?" he asked, half-jokingly. "If you really have a date and you really like this guy then I will cover your shift and beat up every daimon I meet with my perfect face."

@Jaejoong "Daimons, humans, gods, some dark hunters and were hunters mixed in there as well I'm sure." Crossing her arms over her chest she stared the god down for a moment. "So lets say I have a date this weekend. Is there anyway that I can get out of patrol duty? I mean after all with the daimons amassing for god knows what reason, I'm sure you'll be getting in touch with the whole dark hunter community and can find someone to cover it." She smiled charmingly at him. "I mean you could take it yourself but you might get beaten up again because lord only knows what your bodyguard may or may not be doing at the time."

Her work load was going to increase if the daimon activity had anything to do with a bolt hole or a new plan for them to break their curse or any other kinds of nonsense the fabio wannabes came up with. This would be her last chance to weasel out of her duties for a while, preferably without the charonte this time. "I promise that I would make it up to you."

@Hara "Amusing but not enough to basically wet myself with laughter." he muttered, still sulking a bit as she got close enough to inspect his wounds. The kiss on his nose caught him completely off-guard and he didn't even bother to try and hide it, just staring at her with wide eyes. It took him close to ten seconds to collect his wits again and he laughed it off. "Well, yeah..."

What she knew was barely even a scratch on the surface of the pain he had been through. All the years of slavery and torture were etched clearly into his mind and her little comment brought a few rushing back. He cleared his throat and shrugged before smiling back at her. "Yeah and we know it certainly wont be the last time a bunch of daimons try to pound my face in."

@Jaejoong Hara rolled her eyes. "We're not evil we're women. Had you been standing where I am you would have found it amusing as well." She winced at little at how hard he had hit the door though. Moving from the counter she got face to face with him. Taking her time she inspected his face as closely as she could. His bruises from the earlier confrontation that she should have been in were already starting to heal. His nose was no worse for wear.

She leaned in even closer and gave the side of his nose a small peck. "Looks fine to me commander but I have administered first aid just in case." She returned to her previous spot at the counter. "It did look like it hurt but I know that you've had worse."

@Hara Pain blossomed and darkened his vision as he tried not to fall in the recoil. "Son of a biscuit." he mumbled and held the bridge of his nose tenderly, testing to see it if was broken or not. Of course it wasn't but it still managed to hurt like hell and her laughing certainly was not helping the situation.

"All the ladies in my life are evil." he said although the sound was muffled by the presence of his hand. "Why do you women take so much pleasure from someone else's pain?" Jaejoong turned to look at her with a slight pout. "At least tell me I didn't add another bruise tonight. Just for ego's sake I want to not have one more bruise."

@Jaejoong ((She would have to try a lot harder then that.))

About to respond she watched him hit the door jamb and lost it. He looked so hilarious that she lost herself in the humor of it. Leaning on the counter for support, tears streaming from her eyes, she tried to calm her laughter so that she could breathe. Gasping for air she tried to compose herself in vain.

"Oh my god." Another fit of laughter was all she could manage for another few minutes before she finely regained herself enough to breathe. Giggles still escaped her but at least she was no longer making a fool of herself. Pointing at Jaejoong she couldn't help the smile that staid on her face in her mirth. "You totally should have seen your face and then you...you-" Another fit of giggles prevented her from finishing her sentence. After the giggles passed she sighed. "I wish that Dara could have seen that."

@Hara [] LOL omg is she trying to kill him?

He knew Hara was primarily a good girl but she was nowhere as innocent as she pretended to be. "Riiight." the god intoned in mock understanding as he nodded his head. "Dara I might believe but not you. She has the temper but you have a naughty streak wide enough to lose the Titanic in." Sometimes it surprised him how people so different could be so close, particularly the girls, they made the unusual friendship work for many years.

When he saw the change in Hara's face his eyes went wide and he stood up straighter, fidgeting to try and distract himself. "Why on earth would I want that?" he asked, shifting in discomfort. "First you talk about Dara and now you do this! Is there anything on your brain besides... you know!!" With that he turned and tried to leave only to run smack into the door jamb.

@Jaejoong Hara held her hand to her heart as if he had just struck her a fatal blow. "Are you really suggesting that I could have had anything at all to do with the drunken debacle other then as an unwitting participant?" It had been a wonderful night...what little of it she actually remembered. It had began with them complaining about none other then the god in front of them. She hadn't been a dark hunter long and, not really knowing Jaejoong, had gone on a rant. It turned long and viscous the longer she sat there. Sometime in the middle of her rant Dara had started buying her drinks to get her to "Let it all out and loosen up".

She didn't remember when Seungri had come into the picture but where Dara was Seungri tended to follow. Most of the things they had done that night had been her idea. She didn't remember things well but she remembered that she had fun. Lips turning up in a predatory smirk she focused fully on Jaejoong again.

"You don't need a video of that night anyway. If you really want to see me that badly all you have to do is ask."

((lol. This is getting hilarious. She's totally just teasing him but yay Hara!))

@Hara "Yeah yeah, I know what you meant." he said and made a face at the punch. "I wont ever ask that of you and you know it. Thanks for the offer though. Besides, if anyone gets the satisfaction of beating the snot out of an arrogant dark hunter it is me." He finished off the beer and set the empty bottle on his counter.

The god laughed outright as he remembered the last time she got drunk. "You are lucky that was before the age of camera cell phones." he teased and then sighed. "There is very little I wouldn't give for actual video footage of that night. You guys never told me what got you all started though." Jaejoong paused and glanced at her from the side. "Seungri doesn't have the attention span to really plan or suggest anything that intricate so I am thinking it was one of you girls."

@Jaejoong "You know what I mean." She playfully punched the shoulder she had squeezed. "I know that I'm not much but you know that I'm here for you to talk to and if you need a hunter put in their place I would suffer my own injury to beat them back into line." There were many things that she hadn't told Jaejoong over the years but she knew that they were close.

"No I won't get drunk off one drink. Last time I was trashed it was a few bottles and it was the fault of a certain demon and were hunter combo." As the memory came to the forefront she smiled. "I do, however, remember being held in a place that I frequent to retrieve other people. Needless to say I couldn't show my face around the dark hunter community for quite a while after that." Images of her running through the streets with nothing but a pair of lacy on her head brought a pink hue to her cheeks. Definitely not one of her finest moments.

@Hara His face burned and this time he did choke as she mentioned Dara and he started coughing. "That is really... " the god cleared his throat and wiped some tears from his eyes. "I changed her diapers! I was the one who put her first missing tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy! I can't have her see me like that or like... no."

Jaejoong smiled at the short woman in front of him thankfully and nodded. "I know you mean that but I think you also know how this works." She wasn't new to the game by any means and she understood the score probably better than any other dark-hunter alive. "I am responsible for all of you and all of the people you are responsible for. It's not an easy task, especially with at least half of your brothers and sisters in arms treating it like a game."

It was hard not to chuckle at her reaction to the beer though and he shook his head. "It's already interesting. I have no idea what I am going to do with any of you." he teased and took the bottle back. "You wont get drunk off of just that, right? If I remember you are a super lightweight."

@Jaejoong "I know what you mean. If you want to be really cute though you should totally wear a y nurse outfit as well. I'm sure that Dara won't be able to resist that." Hara absently wondered what Dara would do if she did see him in a y nurses outfit. She would probably die laughing. On a more serious note as his reply to her question hit home she reached across the distance between them to squeeze his shoulder.

"Hey, no matter what anyone says or what you may think you don't have to bear the weight of the world on your shoulders alone. After all isn't that what I'm here for? What all good dark hunters are here for? You have friends in high places from all walks of life and I'll be damned if you falter and I'm not there to help get you back on your feet."

Stealing the bottle of beer from his hands she took a swig of it herself, scrunching her nose as the taste hit her tongue before quickly swallowing and holding the bottle back out to him. "Besides if the world is going to hell in a hand basket because we've failed we'll at least make it an interesting ride."

@Hara Watching her nearly disgusted reaction made him laugh out loud, almost so much that he nearly choked on his beer. He had to rub his abs because they started to get a little sore from his mirth. "Girl... the look on your face was PRICELESS!" he chuckled again before forcing himself to calm back down.

"I will go and visit her at Sanctuary either tonight or tomorrow night. This sort of thing I would rather handle in person. Plus it is easier to beg her for help if she can see my cute face." he explained and jokingly batted his eyelashes at Hara. "I could use a bit of Sanctuary anyway."

The god settled back down and leaned against the edge of the table opposite the dark hunter. It was an odd question, one no one had ever asked him. Most were too busy with their own lives and troubles to wonder about his welfare so at first he wasn't sure how to respond but then settled on honesty.

"I guess it is rough sometimes but nothing I can't handle." he replied and shrugged his shoulders. "I also know that if I break, that if I falter or lose my way, that the world around me will suffer and that it will probably start with those closest to me. I simply can't afford to be that selfish."

@Jaejoong She stared at Jaejoong. She threw her hands up over her eyes. "Now I will never be able to get the vision of you wearing a y nurse outfit out of my head. Thank you for that." She briefly wondered if Seungri was enjoying his goat. Startled at the thought she shook her head to clear it.

"Well if you're really that worried about it, why not call Dara? I mean I have no idea what she's doing at the moment but you know that you can actually get her to answer your questions unlike a certain charonte that I can think of." She leaned against the counter and brought up something that had been bothering her.

"You know, I've never bothered to ask you. You're always saving the world, looking out for us, and dealing with the child that you have in the other room. You play it off wonderfully but doesn't it ever get to you?"

@Hara Jaejoong shrugged as she passed on the beer and opened the fridge. Faintly yellow light and cold air rushed out to greet him as he bent down to try and find his beverage. "Yeah I know he is like that but it's sorta like the boy who cried wolf." he explained as he clasped the chilled bottle and stood again. "The one time you don't listen to him there could be an actual problem and I would prefer to not be picking up charred pieces of my demon should he cross her."

With a soft pop he removed the cap and took a drink, closing his eyes as the cool liquid slid comfortingly down his throat. Yeah, that was exactly what he needed, right up until he choked at her comment. "There is no such picture unless he had one photoshopped." he answered with a laugh and looked at her. "I mean, come on! I would rather be y nurse or kitty before I do something as tacky as a schoolgirl."

@Jaejoong "No thanks on the beer. The last time I had one of those bad things happened." She followed Jaejoong after watching the demon head off in the direction of the goat. "I haven't seen Dara in a few days so I'm not entirely sure what is going on between those two." Having an interesting thought she smirked.

"You know, with you charonte's mind, there is a possibility that they aren't actually fighting. I have seen times where Seungri lives in his own little world. He may think that they are actually fighting and they aren't." Grinning at the god she felt it imperative to add "At one time he had me convinced that he had a picture of you in a schoolgirl uniform."

@Seungri Seeing that Seungri seemed to be affected for the moment he simply nodded and dismissed the demon. "Alright. Eat up and try not to choke on any of the bones, especially the ribs since they are deceptively pokey." Jaejoong warned, knowing how his companion liked to eat.

With Seungri taken care of he looked back to Hara, wondering if she had any insight on whatever was going on with the demon. "Can you shed any light on this or are you just as lost as me right now?" he asked and walked towards the kitchen. "Want a beer? How about a shot of something?"

@Jaejoong He turned his head up and looked away from his Akri. His Noona tended to be a touchy subject especially when something had happened between the two of them. Nothing that he had wanted to happen between them mind you. "I don't want to talk about it."

The police had released him without any issue so he didn't see how his dealings with Dara or the scruffy, smelly guy he tried to eat mattered. He had been reprimanded and he wouldn't do it again anytime soon.

"May I go now?" He looked back at his Akri giving him the puppy dog eyes. "I have a goat that needs my attention and I didn't hurt anyone."

@Seungri "I will just send them all to Dara and she can explain it to them. I don't see how that could possibly go wrong." He explained to Hara, already trying to figure out how to get the alpha dragon to go for it. Not that he thought getting Dara to do anything was hard, she generally accomplished everything he asked of her with no problems provided he didn't send Seungri along too.

His demon the other hand was an entirely different problem. The way the charonte phrased things was very careful and based on that alone Jaejoong could figure out what happened. "Who did you try to eat?" the god asked and tilted his head as he gave Seungri a disappointed look. "When I sent you off I meant for you to go to Dara's or something like you normally do... are you two fighting?"

@Jaejoong "Just for the record I would like to state here and now that it isn't entirely my fault." Glancing at Hara he winced. This was so going to be blogged about, he just knew it. What would his Noona think? "I was told to get myself something to eat. That's all that I was doing." Apparently attempting to eat a vagrant was frowned upon. He smirked momentarily at the thought of what the police would have done if they had actually realized what he was trying to do to that homeless man. "It was honestly a misunderstanding. No one is pressing charges or anything."

@Jaejoong She smiled at her boss. He was just looking out for all of them. She worried for his safety at times as well because he had the whole world to look out for she only had her territory. Seungri was another factor that Jaejoong had to deal with constantly. It seemed like the demon only existed to cause his god trouble. "Thanks Jaejoong. That would be incredibly helpful." 'For those who actually understand how it works.'

@Hara Emotions were running high. Between Seungri's trouble-making, the influx of daimons, and trying to keep his dark hunters safe he was stressed. Each one of those things were his top priorities and each needed his attention but even as a god he couldn't be everywhere at once. Seungri and the dark hunters were like family so their safety and well-being were his top concerns. Daimons just made both of those harder.

As he turned to Hara his face softened some and he knew she meant what she said. Even as she was he could still remember the sight of her small bruised and broken body lying in the hospital and it killed him. Every dark hunter was under his supervision and her responsibility, one that he took very seriously. Jaejoong never wanted to see her like that again and though he was sometimes harsh with her and the others it was just to keep them safe. "Alright then. Next time I will tell you first. I will have Dara set up a group internet thingy and have a meeting with us all."

Feeling that his issue with her was momentarily taken care of her turned back to the charonte. "There is more to the story so just tell me. All of it." he said sternly, wondering if he was going to have to have Dara call in the lawyers again. It was honestly surprising to him that there wasn't a giant wanted poster of Seungri in the middle of the city or at the very least a warning.
