@youngji /sighs/ There are lots of parents like that. Just be patient. And whatever it is, never do anything or be anything that your parents or someone else want you to be. Instead, be someone YOU want to be. Take up a course that interests you and that is practical in the future. Dont take up a course that you wont able to cope, or take it just coz its cool. Just pick something you like, and just lie when your mom ask. I do that.
Tell her "in the future, its me who's working. Not you."

@junhoe dood, i'm in my junior year and my mom tells me to go for accounting or human resourcing (i mean, seriously, how boring does that sound?) but she tells my brother /who is only a freshman/ that he should do whatever he wants. also she says i have no responsibility, (but i do.) but she won't let me get a job. /seriously wtf/ she seems to always bring up grades for some reason. and they are fine. she always points out my flaws, (thanks, mom. #selfesteemdown)

body shaming instead of encouragement to be healthier ಥ_ಥ
when a person disrespects a country by saying that its culture is great but only because of their sudden latching onto the country's pop culture ಥ_ಥ
